I'm using the english version.

I also did run a reinstall, after updating.

The ships are newly created.

However, I can try to run another reinstall again and see if it solves the problem.

EDIT: Just reinstalled (through the option in IR menu) and they are still showing as readtext0-162.
Will await and see if any newly created counterstrikes will have the same problem.

EDIT2: Nope, no luck, a counterstrike was just created and all the ships were named ReadText0-162.

Do you think it can be that I'm running patch 2.5?

no, game version has nothing to do with it

162 is ASSAULT, not COUNTERSTRIKE

noone else reported ship naming problems with Assault ships for long time, which means something is wrong with your installation, not script itself (probably)

I will of course check if there are any possible causes, but I really doubt I will find anything

hm.. this 0 after readtext means incorrect pageid, that is some lead.

EDIT:
are those ships ATF/OFF assault ships or regular race invaders (like paranid, boron assault etc)?

Hello, djrygar. I have exactly the same problem with 0-162 ship names. So....

P.S. they are regular race invaders.

no, no need to reinstall in this case

seems one of variables is not passed.
I will prepare fixed file for you all, simple overwrite will fix that

Hey dryjgar, thanks for this latest installment of IR.

I have something to report on the hot war editor:

The setup for races "FOF" seems to be broken, most races dont have option to set for the others. The case for split applies to all major races except Terrans which have a few extra.

Split:

I ran RRF prior to installing the lastest IR, and then I just copied the new files into their respective folders, ran a clean install afterwards then new install.

Did I do something wrong in all this? Anyways, thanks for your work on this script

Hmmm ran into an issue a few days ago that I forgot to put here. When you do a clean up universe command in the menu. I had true relations turned off now I had 5 rep with the boron and 8 with the terran and 0 with paranid. When I went to clean up the universe of the extra ships this mod creates. After the ships were removed something funny happened, those races after that ALL turned red to me, the relations with them towards me were in the red negitive. Why is that? why did it suddenly do that when I had good relations with two of those races but once I did a clean up that happened

there is no point in repeating same relation setting in different windows

if you have boron-split relation in boron window, there is no purpose for repeating it in split window and so on

those of you with readtexts - please re-download file and overwrite

no reinstalling or cleaning required
(or you may perfom cleaning to check if newly created ships still have problem)

sorry I will not check myself, I have 'vacation' from X3 right now, it was eating too much of my time lately

Too bad, that there is no readme about IR... Then I have to ask:

What sector takeover features do IR have? How are sectors captured? Taxes (regulative?)? Control over NPC station building? Attacks of the race - previous owner? Else?

I'm just trying to understand, how would IR go with the Sector Takeover (STO) script that I'm using now and whether I continue using it, capturing the sectors and building my fleet stronger, before installing IR or I should install IR right now and stop using STO not to solve too many compatibility (script-changing) issues.

you may use both

IR will response only to takeover done by it
if you take over sector using sto, IR will not notice this, and will not react
(IR has its own takeover 'database')

I have an idea for Xenons:

What if we can use one #Deca M1 ship as main CPU ship?
This ship along with some serious escort would stay in Xenon Core 023.
The purpose of that ship would be C & C for all normal Xenon activites (aka killing things). If you would be able to kill it (it should be hard) overall Xenon productivity and agression would decrease significantly for some period of time till CPU ship will be rebuilded (most of remaining Xenon industry and computing power shifted toward rebuilding a CPU ship as primary directive).

Guardian is fine... that is the shipyard's self-defense force.
