Well, I don't even use ADS, but it certainly seems to color ship names if the screenshots in the first post are any guess. Anyway, there's a simple code change to strip out colors from text, created by h2o.Ava. The bug will be fixed in the TC 3.1 patch, but until then, you can have a crack at patching ADS with this code change: http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=3482282

I haven't looked at the ADS code, but probably not. I suspect it's not stripping the color codes out of names in messages, so reinstalling won't change anything.ogamerdg wrote:ok well when is the 3.1 patch being released cause i have no experience with scripting? It was recommended to me on the thread that I post the issue here.I figured this would be a common issue, as the AI is notorioius for its douchebaggery, but couldn't manage to find the relevant info through a search or extra search. Meh, maybe my internet skillz need polishing.
Anyway, first a bit of info.
x3tc with bonus pack installed.
MARS, CODEA, and ADS installed.
So here's the problem. When I'm flying my Griffon and I send my fighters, then try to get them to dock I run into problems that seem like they must be related to collision detection issues but I'm not so sure.
Basically they all line up to dock, but instead of actually docking they just keep flying through then circle back around. Rinse and repeat until they all explode, as sometimes on these flybys they run into my ship and bounce around until they're spacedust. I've used ADS to launch them and ADS to get them to dock. I've used standard vanilla menu to launch and to dock, all with the same result.
OOS there are no issues.
I'm also wondering if it could be a conflict with scripts and the game or something similar. It almost seems like they have a set of conflicting orders stuck in a loop. Has anyone encountered this?
Weirdest part about it is when I first got my Griffon and purchased my ships, they all docked fine without issues while I was the pilot. It just started happening at a random point that I can't quite remember.

Not sure what the issue is, or how to fix it, but you might want to check out this mod. It's not really a fix, but it's a nice work-around.

I'm using ADS on an Ozias in the XRM mod. This TL can dock 12 TS/TP class ships so I thought I'd dump all my loot in it and use ADS sellers.
I had a load of Microchips on board so set one of my docked (and added to the hanger) TS ships to sell it. I issue the command, all Microchips are loaded (large cargo bay on TS) and off it goes to sell the first 20 to a near by Trading station. TS returns, refuels, then just sits there.
It appears that if I issue any buy or sell command it only executes once, even if there are still products to sell or I've not yet reached my quota on a buy order. Any ideas or is this just how it is?
I'd hoped I could automate the selling of various low-volume wares I'd gotten a large stock of...
Shame SK seems to have moved on, quite an under rated script this.

Carrier Detection
Has anyone had any issues with ADS failing to detect a carrier in the Manager menu?
I have a Galleon, and I can get to the ADS commands through the General section in its command interface, but it's not showing up in the carrier management console.

I also noticed the issue about ships with Carrier Command Software as a Built-in component. The ship is not shown in the ADS menu and hotkeys are not working either.
Here comes the solution after looking at the script files, you need to replace 2 commands from 2 files :
anarkis.acc.is.compatible ( this one called for hotkeys and probably other things
)
replaced by
anarkis.acc.get.acc.carriers ( called for the ADS menu )
replaced by
so, simply remove the word "true" from original commands.
for a little explanation if you are interested :
get true amout of ware is only checking in manually installed components and wares in cargo bay.
get amount of ware is checking at both installed and built-in components.
I also took a look about the sell ware command, it appears that it is only written to find a station (best sell), selling the maximum amount of ware the station can buy then the ship returns home and that's all ( need something like a loop that doesn't stop until the amount of selected wares are sold
)

x3tc bonus package + ads installed
Okay guys, i know that it is some time anyone posted here.. but there still might be ppl with same problem as i had.
i made normal install with patches to 3.1 and then istaled bonus package 4...
I installed ADS manually one from this site... it was working for some time but with laggs like lost e-cells from hangar after ADS called ships in to defend, then send defense or attack wing did worked at all....
what i did was to uninstall crappy bonus package and lived happy ever since...

For some reason whenever I have this installed, my game just locks up a couple of seconds after load. It's the same spot it always locks up in if there's something amiss with my current mod arrangement. I have quite a number of mods so there's no way to be sure if there's a conflict with a specific one, but I was wondering if anyone had a vague idea of what might cause a crash with it active.

well if you do have a lot of script install each time you start or load a game the game attempt to load everything at start its normal for lock up for a few second, if you get random lockup after a while there is something hitting, but at astart its normal, once each time i was loading i had to wait a good minute for the game to unlock then i was fine for the rest of playtrought.
