I think that would be the publisher's decision, so not much Egosoft can do from its side...

I guess its just one of those things, once people start doing other will do the same to prevent them losing out on sales. Publishers wont care as long as it sells in good numbers.

Confirmed; I receive the NA retail v2.0 in the mail today. Although I'm at work I had my wife check it for me to confirm. Not bragging, just letting others know you can order it online now. Besides, its hard telling how long after the 7th it will take Steam users to get the patch.

Update: Started over as a Humble Merchant. Been doing some basic trade runs from the manual for about 3 hours without a single ctd. Granted, this time I don't have any mods installed. Performance seems to be better even without the performance patch integration.

Been out of the loop for some time. But what the heck is going on with this 2.0 stuff? I already have x3TC on steam? I have to buy X3TC again just to get the 2.0?

Why is it not an addon or something? What am I missing? totally confused.

I saw a copy of 2.0 today at my Gamestop in Butte, Montana. I was kind of surprised really.

When should we expect the patch to be released?

At this stage, it seems that very few retailers are still respecting the embargo (at least in the US), so it's completely pointless to keep holding the patch 2.0.

So, one time again, PLEASE EGOSOFT!!

If you have X3:TC you get the 2.0 Aldrin Missions update from Steam like any regular update. Don't be confused by the marketing hype :).

Thanks alot you guys that clarified that issue for me.
Had a devil of a time finding my post after it merged :). But it looks like ill be buying the Aldrin mission box and giving X a shot. It sounds and looks like an absolutely amazing game.
