With the default XFP scripts the Xenon will act as normal but will use the Q Bomber, H and they now use Cylons in V03.

Also the Pirates now have an M7. :)

V03 now on download page and has the following fixes, additions:

More stations added to galaxy using an extra XFP script.
6 new XFP original ships added
More variety of ships added to various race shipyards
Shipyard in Aulderons Demise now Argon so your Argon rep will determine what you can buy.
Galactica top turret now fixed
Xenon L from X2 weapon energy now set to normal
Sector name spelling adjusted
BBS spelling adjusted
Lots more free ships added to various places
A few ship models that had texture problems are fixed
Khaak Khaak Mothership now just called Khaak Mothership
All Cobras turrets work ok
Asteroid blocking special SY next to Xenon H moved out of the way to allow docking/undocking
Gorellik sectors now more choice of wares
many sectors have been updated with new factories and wares adjustments
Ashleys Factories also updated

New ships added:

Pirate Red Hauler is a cross between a freighter and a fighter, custom built by Captain Pugwash. Good cargo space and handles like an M3.

Paranid Ares M0

Boron Hammerhead M0

Pirate Barnacle M7

Boron Sole Corvette M6

Argon Gazzela M5 fast fighter (resembles the pod racers in SW E 1)

I stopped playing V02 because I continuously heard a voice telling me that "This missile is not compatible with your ship".

Now that V03 has been released, I have reinstalled everything and I get the audio message telling me that "This missile is not compatible with your ship" even though I have just started a new game and don't have any missiles installed.

On the download page i can only see v02 is this v03 and just hasnt been updated :lol:

Not sure it's related, but you should give it a go. Try to replace the "plugin.lv.jtp.jump.xml" file in your "scripts" folder by this one :

I was getting the same problem as Aketzali but wasn't sure where it was originating from. What file is that replacing Serial, as I take it you've run across someone having this problem before?

It's replacing a file from Race Response Fleet. Like i said i'm not sure it's the cause of this specific sound error. But, at least, it'll remove the "formation established" sound you hear sometimes.

I've also heard the spam of "This missile..." and the "Formation Established" chatter. I wasn't really sure what was causing what. At least one is fixed.

on my side the "formation established" seems linked to some "proximity alert", so when the ship avoid the collision it seems the computer ship follow a new path and then "establish" a sort of formation.
New Config : Intel 8400 & 4Ghz , 4GB DRR2 on Asus P5Q Pro, ATI 4850 and Win XP 32 bits SP3.

Old config AMD 64 3400 1Mo, MSI k8n neo plat, 7800 GS+ Bliss, 2 GB RAM 3200

As mentioned before, what's the save game compatability situation?

It seems that most changes are gakaxy, factory and ship based. I understand that if I install 0.3 but run a 0.2 savegame, I will have updated ships stats but nothing else. Is that correct?

If so, and it's a big ask, but is it possible to get/run a script that will implement the the factory changes and create the "hidden ships" etc?

I'm so into a 0.2 game that I don't really want to restart.

On a side note, is anyone else finding that with the Xeneon migration, that the mid Argon sectors (Omicron Lyrae etc) get emptied fairly quickly? Is this normal?

For those that are curious I tried upgrading to v03 and using a v02 save game.

I simply installed the new v03 on top of my old v02 install. X3 loaded fine, however when trying to load my save, the game CTD'd and said "Error loading savegame, may be corrupt!".

I tried starting a new game and it seemed to work fine. I didn't fly to far but things seemed to be running normally.

I guess I'll leave this mod be until its about more complete (as good as it is I don't want to keep starting over)
