EST, Economy and Supply Trader, is a script, just like the Commercial Agent (CAG) and the Commodity Logistics (CLS). All three do have dedicated threads, and links to them are in the Community Library announcement.
Furthermore, a question on how to use a script belongs into the thread of the thread, rather than into new thread. Those threads should contain good explanations and answers about the threads. If they don't, blame them there. Constructively.
Asking about 2-3 different scripts at once makes it hard to decide, but a ***merge*** shall now happen.

Having problem with CAG.
Running X3TC 1.04
Handelsvertretung_X3TC_V3201.zip
Befehlsbibliothek_X3TC_V3207.zip
Running current version of EST.
Installed the scripts exactly like I did with EST, but EST works and CAG doesn't.
I have bought 2 Ore and 2 Silicone stations and assigned 1 Caiman Super Freighter with Nav mk1, Trade mk1/mk2 to each one. I have given the station 2 million each. When I click on my Caiman trader docked at it's home base and go to the trade menu I don't get the option to start the CAG trader (EST menu is still there). I am fairly sure that the script is installed all right as on the station commands I can set it to CAG only or EST only if I so choose.
EST is a great script, but need help getting this one working.

Computers are like air conditioners, when you open Windows they become useless.

i only use your script and the library required
i'm new to running a station, but i bought the dirt cheap wheat farm, asigned a tanker to it with all propper equipments. everything thing works fine, but sometimes the agent get stuck in a npc station try to sell the delaxsion wheat. i thnk that the station didn't have enough sec resources to do a few rounds and buy more wheat, so the agent just sat there. is there a setting that will fix this? or am i sol
edit: also, the agent is high enough lvl to sell and buy wares, and is set to trader duties

Noobie to X3 and CAG.
Do my factory and complex parameters conflict with my CAG settings? If so, which one overrides the other?
I picked up (somewhere on page 3 or 5 I think) that the station's Jump Parameters should be at 50.
Is there anything else I should worry about, or will the CAG pilots ignore station settings?
Also...I'm trying to set up two ships just to purchase energy for one complex. No matter how many credits the pilots have access to, or how much cargo room they have; One will purchase 2000 energy, the second one will pick up 500.
If I reduce it to one pilot, he'll buy his full cargo hold's worth.
*Edit: This happens with the default Buy Best/ Sell Best software, as well as setting manual trade runs. It has continued with my CAG pilots.*
Thanks for any help!

I have a similar question.
Can I make it so that only my CAGs will trade in intermediates?
I don't want to set my complex's settings to sell intermediates since I don't want the NPC traders rushing my complex.
I would rather prefer my CAGs to trade them with the internal controls that I can set. (i.e. Sell intermediate products:10%, purchase intermediate products:80%)
Since I can't control the NPCs, I have set my complex to "none."

My CAG won't leave my intermediates alone.
I have the station set to no npc traders and no intermediate trading.
I have my CAG's setting to "Sell intermediates: 95%"
I have a capacity of 14000 silicon in this complex and I've been using it to stow some extra wafers for another buildout. My math tells me that my cag should leave the wafers alone until they're around 13,300.
Whenever it gets to about 2-3k silicon I see my r******* CAG taking some silicon out to go sell it!
I was only able to stop him when I added it to the blacklist. I would rather not do that since I want to sell it off when it maxes out as I have prospectors filling it up and I dont want to micromanage them.
Any ideas?

From the OP.Lucike wrote:Purchasing Intermediates
The Agent will buy intermediates if their stock at complex is below this value. The Agent will always leave at least this much into the complex to secure production, when selling the intermediate products.
Selling Intermediate Products
The Agent can sell intermediate, if the stock level exceeds this value.
I have the "Selling Intermediate Products" set at 95%.

Is there a SPP in your complex?
If so, it makes ECs a secondary resource for that complex.
I hated this so I made all of my complexes SPP free and just built a 2nd SPP complex a few KMs away and used 2 dedicated CLSs to ferry crystals/ECs back and forth. It seems like a hassle, but it's just the opposite.
