This is quite annoying since it has been down for a couple of days now. Is there something else that can used besides the ingame encyclopedia to make ship comparisonspaulwheeler wrote:They are hosted by The X Universe... Anyone know whats going on with their servers?jack775544 wrote:Very weird, it appears the server is down.
I am sure if you wait a bit Paul will get some alternative hosting arrangements made.
I'd rather wait for them to come back up than reupload to a new host.... As long as they don't take too long to fix the problem.
If you'd read the last one or two pages, you'd see that there is a server issue with X Universe, not under the control of XRM creator/dev. As the dev already stated (again, only a page or two back), if the X Universe forum people don't fix the problem soon, then this mod will likely get hosted elsewhere.Falcrack wrote:I can't download the files for XRM from the link provided on the first page of this thread. It gives me a message saying "this site is temporarily unavailable". And I AM NOT going to wade through 1700+ pages of this thread to try and find a working link!
You do understand that acting as if the developer of this mod owes you anything, especially when he gives you something for free, is *extremely* rude, right?Falcrack wrote:... And I AM NOT going to wade through 1700+ pages of this thread to try and find a working link!
I apologize, I did not intend to come across as rude or demanding, simply trying to emphasize my disinclination to wade through thousands of pages to try and find the tidbit of information I was looking for. The search feature on this forums sucks, so I thought I would just ask the question and wait for a reply.gilboa wrote:You do understand that acting as if the developer of this mod owes you anything, especially when he gives you something for free, is *extremely* rude, right?Falcrack wrote:... Zanzal's - [SCR] Ship Browser - In Game Ship Comparison Tool - great tool I'm using it for some quite time. If you want you can make it with spoiler mode - all ships can be browsed, or without it - you can browsed only ship that you encounter in game.mabruins wrote:(...)

This is a great alternative! Thanks for your suggestion.Viliae wrote:WelcomeZanzal's - [SCR] Ship Browser - In Game Ship Comparison Tool - great tool I'm using it for some quite time. The XRM spawns ships using the jobs engine. This utilises race, class and variant to spawn ships. You would need to allocate an unused variant to your ship and then alter jobs as well to call this variant. However, you can only have one ship on each variant and the XRM pretty much already exhausts the available variants in the fighter classes. Alternatively you can force a job to call a ship by ID, but then this job will only spawn this ship.ProdigyToby wrote:Hi Paul. Quick question. Do the races in XRM make use of ships by whats under thier race in the tships file or do they use them by ID from a script or something somewhere? Reason I ask is because Im trying to get the races to use custom ships, and im wondering if simply putting them into the tships file under that race will be good enough, or would i have to add that ship to the end of the id list and do something else?
Thanks, very much appreciated! However, is there a chance we could get the XRM maps as well? I've been using a generic map for the "vanilla" AP, and every now & then the differences kinda throw me off.paulwheeler wrote:OK - here's some temporary links on my own hosting server. Note - I have limited bandwidth so I may need to take these down if there are too many downloads. If X Universe doesn't come back in the next few days I'll source a new permanent home.

These kind of crashes are usually caused by installing the XRM to the base TC install and then running AP. Please re-read the install instructions and ensure that the appropriate parts go into the addon folder.ToPa wrote:Hi,
my game crashed after I installed XRM.
I just followed the instructions in the installation guide.
I use the Steam version of X3: AP (version 3.1).
After the intro the game crashes.
