yep there's something messed up somewhere, the game loads and runs great does everything but when I went on a mission paroling and killed some xenon m4's every kill and there was a read me text across the bottom. I added marine repairs and hacking to the game and they are listed under artificial intelligence perfectly but there's 2 at the bottom that were there originally, and they are both read mes too. So got a file messed somewhere, give me a clue where to start looking please? :wink:

Are you sure your version of AP is up to date and the underlying TC is vanilla?

Otherwise, it may be that the xrm cat/dats are not correctly installed or the xrminst file is not in the director folder. It sounds as if the xrm bounty system is running but cant read the required text files from part 2.

Do you remember if this trick was done using RadeonPro app? Because by default the CCC doesn't have this option. Usually this function is tweaked by nvidia users

hi paul sorry about this..so heres the deal. made a new setup with the original disk, (TC), not steam, upgraded to 3.2 then added the mod, the director folder is in place and the file is in it. When I started the game for the first time it showed me the pop up that said the rebalance mod is running even with marine repairs and hacking they show up perfectly in artificial intelligence list but those first two don't, then the announcements when something gets killed pops up, but everything else seems right, so it might be the bounty system then? hmm the cat and dats were renamed and are now 14-15 on my list

if I cnat get it right will going to the artificial intelligence and marking each one NO stop this? :roll:

ok went back in a checked everything redid the entire second folder, copy and pasted every file over what was there to make sure, deleted the cat and dat (15) and did it again, and made sure the directer folder has the file in it and redid it too.the game recognises the XRM when I start a new game saying its running but the text isnt working the two files I mentioned in the art intl list are the bounty and XRM core folders, they run but the text isnt working, so shut the bounty system off that kills the odd read mes when hunting, if the rest of the mod is working properly just not with good text then It might be ok.

If the bounty system isn't working then there will be other problems. Are you seeing all the XRM added sectors/ships?

Anyone came across a split arena?
I was busy fending off Xenon attacks at Zyarth's Dominion when I came across this ship.
What type of ship is it?
The X-encyclopedia has no mention of this ship.
Can it be bought somehow?

Been a while since I have seen one but I think they borrow models, such as TLs (e.g. Elephant). If it isn't clear from the ship's info page, visual inspection may help.

Its quite different from the Elephant.
It looks like a Pyramid, but the textures and colors are split.
AFAICS, the stats talk about ~16 guns, 5 x 1Ghz shielding, ~80M/s speed and 8000 units of XXL base storage. (Which puts it in middle between TS and TL ships).
I couldn't really measure the size of the ship, as I was flying an Atlas at the time and was busy getting shot at.

Is it normal for some sectors to be spammed with a lot of factories? In my current game (first one, just found this gem of the game a month or so ago) Wastelands and Black Hole Sun sectors have more factories than the rest of the Argon space taken together. Each one with easily 50+. No other sectors of my 100+ explored have anything even close - usually around 10 or so stations+factories per sector.
X3AP, only XRM + Improved Relations.

Kinda getting to the stage of current save where I wouldn't want to start over, but am interested if something got messed up and it's better to restart since it will go bannanas sooner or later.

EDIT: Just counted... Black Hole Sun has 90 stations/factories and Wastelands 76.

Thats being caused by Improved Races not the xrm.

As Paul said it is Improved Races. To be a bit more specific it is the Economy Booster part of improved races that is causing the spam of factories. Turn that off and you won't get any more being made.
1940s - Various "computers" are "programmed" using direct wiring and switches. Engineers do this in order to avoid the tabs vs spaces debate.

I would love to be able to use this mod however, my STEAM version always downloads the BONUS Pack DLC so I have no way of installing this mod FIRST. :(

Any suggestions?

Shouldnt matter if the bonus pack is installed first.

the bonus pack can be removed from the steam version.
Open the game properties and goto the DLC tab, uncheck the bonus pack.
