Well, I've done it... I wanted to wait for 4.0 release for a fresh plot start, but I got REALLY bored yesterday so I've switched to 4.0 beta and went ahead with it.
I'll switch back to non-beta when it's out.

I'm gotta say quite glad with what I've seen up to now! Good job ES

Right... I'm in beta too.
Do I have to do something via steam when DLC and 4.00 are gold, or will the game autonomously switch-out of beta? Kindly, anyone?
(sorry my ignorance, I'm a new to this thing :oops: )

You'll need to select "none" in the Beta dropdown in the Steam client to unsubscribe from the Beta. If you don't then the next time we issue a Beta update, you'll automatically get it whether you want it or not!

Sat staring at the screen waiting for the download, I think I saw fairies at one point although it could be just be my brain telling me to go outside for a few hours :P

Your beta status will automatically reset and the game will switch back to the release version. You don't have to do anything in that regard. :)

No, that's incorrect. That would only happen if we removed the Beta entry entirely, which we generally don't do.

it can only be hours now. Will do a fresh download and reinstall, just in case.

Hope they don't discover some showstopper bug in the last minute

To all the ppl asking for the release time.
CBJ was caught on camera earlier today entering the EGO HQ, wearing Darth Vader's helmet, a leather outfit and holding a whip..... so, now you know.
Unfortunately i cannot post said photo on the forums due to rules.

Steam DL for 4.0 is ok for 30mn (was 16pm in my country), but Home Of Light dont install, i dont want to start a new game without this dlc installed since compatibility pb later, any news on HOL DLC?

The HoL DLC will be along very soon. We're just coordinating the release with Steam.

There's a new announcement thread now so I'll close this one. :)

Edit: And just to be clear: HoL is now available on Steam. :)
