How can you say 42 has no relevance? It is the answer to life, the universe and everything!!!

So long and thanks for all the fish, you will see me again at the restaraunt at the end of the universe which is where we expect 2.6 to be released, but you can only get there with the Improbability Drive (aka Unfocused Jump Drive) and have a 1:1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 chance of getting there :P

Is it me, or is this patch taking longer than expected? From what I read initially, I thought the released would be at the most 2 weeks away. I would love to know what the hold up is? In the realm of soon, I think we have already left those waters.

As hinted on the previous page; every time someone asks, it gets put back 24 hours.

Based on what? :?

This announcement was to explain what was happening before people started reporting strange things in Steam. There was still final testing to be done and no hint was given as to how long this was expected to take...

I can understand that. I just wish in the announcement that could have been clarified just a little better. When I hear "soon" I'm thinking it's about to be released in short order.

Let's get one thing straight (again)...

The amount of time between the OP and the release was not specified (for good reason), other than to say it will be coming 'soon'.

Your first clue about what type of 'soon' that is will be when you see another announcement saying that 2.6 is here. Until then, as I and others have already stated, please be patient.

Please be thankful that I didn't say 'coming soon™'

:)

Probably coincidental, but was the Forum maintenance linked at all to the upcoming 2.6 patch?

I got the impression the poster was suggesting that the forum "maintenance" might be to allow changes to the forum to support some new feature the patch will provide.

What about the recent volcano activity in Iceland, can you confirm that patch 2.6 is not responsible for this please?

The Commonwealth can neither confirm nor deny the allegations of implied responsibility for patch 2.6 causing certain geological anomalies. These anomalies may include but are not limited to, plate shifting, techtonic response, and volcanic eruptions. However this does not extend to anomalies produced by geological entities... In effect the 2.6 patch may or may not have caused a certain volcano to erupt, but most assuredly if interference with telecom, air flight, or sunday football is experienced it most definately may be linked to the 2.6 upcoming release
