Maybe one of you dudes can help me with summink (or indeed anyone else reading this)

A couple of weeks ago I posted a thread on the forum about some lasertowers I had placed around a wheat farm in Rolk's Drift going ballistic and attacking the Boron.

In the end I got rid of the lasertowers in question.

However, the Boron now seem to be bearing a grudge against that particular wheat farm, and are not buying a single gram of wheat produced there. Before it was always an exceedingly popular wheat farm (as wheat farms always are in Boron space), always sold out at max price, AI forming a queue to buy from me.

I have an identical wheat farm next door in KE, which has no problem, the Boron are queueing up to buy from it. My Boron rating is fine, Queen's Knight high percentage.

But its been more than a week now and no traders. They are studiously ignoring my wheat farm :(

Factories do not have attitude-settings (Friend/Foe), so I am mystified as to why this is happening.

I've now stuck in a couple of selling TSs to sell the wheat, but I shouldn't have to.

Its irritating me so much that I am tempted to blast the stupid wheat farm and replace it with a new one. :x

Any ideas?

not sure, i do know that if you attack a ship belonging to a station that station sometimes turns eneym, so maybe coz the boron were atacking your lasertowers, they now consider it an enemy!

check the IIF comands on your buying ships too.

Ive never had this, but then again i dont use lasertowers!

Yeah the lasertowers were placed there in the early stages of my game, before I realised how useless they were. (can you say totally?)

totaly useless prety much covers them

i should know i placed a lasertower fab in Paranid Prime! :oops:

they self sell ok to the AI though, once they are built! i guess 160,000cr for 2 hrs isnt THAT bad!

it is of course possible that they are just buying elsewhere in the looking for cheap wheat cycle and have not found your station again. it can take a long time

try using a Iguana to sell the wheat, its speed will come in handy, plus the Wheat farm doesnt produce that fast!

Hmmm ...

I'd given it over a week of playing several hours each evening, which certainly has given the AI more than enough time to pick up on the wheat farm and visit it ten times over.

I think I'll write it off as a glitch/bug and replace it.

All the more reason not to use laser towers :)

For a fab that should sell without a problem to the AI itself, I'm reluctant to forcibly sell the wheat using sellers.

Thanks to Simon for most of the list.

Also you can use any Avator you like but when the F.O.L.K. logo is done, It will be a requirement to have it in your sig. :)

As for Laser Towers & the Wheat Farm, I have no clue what so ever? (I've never used them myself only sell 'em) :D

Believe me the 1st post is going to be long enough without all our names on! It just takes time, Time I have very little of at the moment.

WHOA that was fun, i found enough weed to fully kit out my Disco with weapons and Sheilds (not enough to max the speed ect though :cry: ).

so i acepted a Xenon mission

and capped the N that was trying to kill me! YAY! FIRST CAP! (in this game :P )

then i took on an assasination BBS mission. that was realy fun. try cutting through the sheilds of a demeter (i think it only had 10MW though). Even better, somehow his rear turret (AIRE) managed to knock out one of my GIREs! muchos aknoyance, so now i had to kill him with a single GIRE against his lovely thick hull.

a full salvo of 1 GIRE= 3% hull loss :headbang:

that took a while

ignored the escorts, will cap or kill later, the pericles is a tough nut to crack, 15MW sheilds and an aknoying tendancy to ram.

oh yeah and all of that was without combar softwear (and the lovely auto aim!).

Ended up swaping to the Xenon N i capped, and switching my stuff across and selling the disco.

the N was only at 23% hull (damn Novas!) so i would have only got 4000cr from it.

instead i get a more manuverable fighter with a biger cargo hold, and max 1x5MW sheilds!!! And its only 10m/s slower! What a bargin!

now ive just got to save up for and find a 5MW sheild.....

not a bad ship though, interesting cockpit.

anyone else flown the N before?
