Paul thanks for the update.

Was the 03 cat/dat the only addition to 3.0? Any loose files?

Well you should have waited until I announced it...

If you are continuing an old save, you may get away with it. Just run the upgrade patch.

If you have started a new game and want to play all the plots, then you will need to restart as the new universe map is in part 2.

There were a few script changes - nothing that affects the XRM, and a new 00044.xml file in the mov folder, which you'll need to remove for the XRM.

That file is removed as part of the XRM installation process. Steam should have put it back as part of the AP3.0 upgrade.

You don't want it there, but if Steam didn't put it back when you upgraded, then its possible it didn't update correctly. To be safe, use Steam to verify the game cache, then install the XRM as usual, removing that file.

Done. 1 file was missing and loaded again. but still have no 00044xml.
and it is a new & clean installed 3.0 without any changes done. But i have TC installet too and the only file i have found matching the "00044" was a 00044.pck in TC/Mov folder. But in my addon/move there are only 4 xml and one pck. And no 00044.xml

Thats OK - the pck is the compressed version. You'll need to remove 00044.pck from the addon\mov folder (back it up).

It overwrites 03.cat/dat. Just let Steam do its thing.

No - you only need to remove any file (xml or pck) named 00044 in the addon\mov folder.

The vanilla version is a .pck file and Steam should have put it there with the 3.0 update.

You should see five assignable XRM hotkeys in that section. If you do not, then you have not correctly installed the XRM scripts.

If you are playing AP you need to copy the scripts from the "scripts_AP" folder in part 2 into your addon\scripts folder.

You will need to restart your game after doing so.

Question about Strong arms dealer XL station: is it random? Im asking as I stumbled upon it in my previous playthrough, so if its always in the same place then its pretty game breaking. Anyway to disable that station or make it appear randomly?

I guess that in the end I could use cheat mod to destroy it.

Lucky bastard.
I'm turned the galaxy up-side-down looking for one and didn't find it.

I've always found it on one of two sectors in the past, though I suppose naming them would be spoiling and pretty useless as it jumps around.

I assume it moves between unclaimed/pirate sectors though, that somewhat limits its possible locations.
