Yes indeed imagine a game like duke Nukem fore ever being nominated ?? It's what like 8 years now ?? And still not released yet.
By the time, that game is out i'l probebly be dead and buried. It took them like forever to build that game and still not released.

I probably will vote for it once x3 is released but it sort of makes the award unworthwhile and meaningless if the game being voted for is not actually released.
X2 might of beaten Doom 3 last year if Doom 3 had been released at the point of the award, some people were quite disappointed by it, me being one of them.
Maybe we should only vote for games that HAVE been released I would much prefer x3 to win a meaningful award and not one because of hype.

For that TP tour with a difference. Come see Xenon sector 596.
Games also shouldn't be judged just as there released but after a month or two as to let players experiance the game instead of just because its released.
As games that are worthy of awards should be games that is popular and has sold alot and have long playing life spans, which we know x3 will have once we get to play it.

Sorry.
Agreed. While I'm confident in Egosoft's ability to produce an awesome game, I'm NOT confident in any sort of game award that will let you vote on a game before anyone has played the final version. We might as well start giving the Booker prize to a 4-year-old because his teachers say he'll probably be an awesome writer when he grows up!
I vote for X3 even though I am a bit weary of how it will turn out.
However it is the best chance I have to get what I want from this type of game.If it wins and more ppl buy it because of that...maybe that will help ego produce another X.
I know some of those other games are in the same boat as X I am not about to be noble when others are voting for other games that are not relesed yet.
When rolling in the mud with pigs, remember to oink
I have no doubts that X3 will blow the sox of any off the new games with its graphics, and game play, but, I cannot vote for something that is not released yet........
sorry guys
If voting is still around after the game is released, then I will vote
Voting on something suggests that you have an opinion, how can we possibly have an opinion about an un - seen/played game?
Egosoft might even choose not to release it after Brianetta gives 'em the bad news!
Although I have to say I agree with all of the above I do feel egosoft deserve some recognition and an award for their work (if not for X3, at least for their previous games)
And as said, at least it will be them futher into the spotlight
Sorry lads but I can't vote for a game that I havn't played yet either. Even if I BELIEVE that EGOSOFT have the potential to create the best game of 2005, 2006 it's a question of faith not fact.
Of course once I've perfected the ancient art of divination... I'm sure I put those entrails around here somewhere, damn the dog has them again!
Never more than 98.8 percent sure about anything.
98.8 percent sure that anyone who is 100 percent certain needs re-educating for the sake of humanity.
I voted X3, of the games on that list that I've played X2 is my favourite (not difficult given it's my favourite game at the moment) and I'm fairly sure X3 will surpass X2. Plus it give the game a bit of extra publicity.
