seems not to work with 1.4 german .
Have some trouble running the script ...
the module is named in the paranid station ReadText17-5813
when i install the module on a Merkur, i have following options :
ReadText2010-402
ReadText2010-403
ReadText2010-404
none of the options works .. 404 is stopping with unknown command.
Perhaps you know what happened ..
ahh found the bug .. the xml files were unzipped in a folder in the t folder ... very bad...
ok but next problem : The script isnt running ...i start the command set the homebase, then input how much for a unit, then i select the different stations... then the ship moves out of the base and stands around with no command ???? and nothing loaded ?

I think it's for having one factory deliver its end product to under-stocked factories that you own, made for loops. Probably good for delivering silicon in a loop that needs silicon for the end product.Free Trade Inn wrote:I do this "as is" without the script, is someone gona let me in on what this is about?

Hiya. Gots me a question or three. I copied the files as per the text file (and this thread). Upon re-entering the game, I am at a loss as to how to activate this. I know it says in the readme that it automagically activates when you load a game. Am I supposed to send my freighter(s) to an equipment dock to purchase this SDS upgrade and if so, which races equipment dock? Once I've obtained this gem, where does one go in the menu options to use/activate it? This is the first script I've ever installed so kid gloves please. I have a couple hundred captured pirate transport ships I use to trade goods within my loops. Only a couple of purchased transports. Will this work with the pirate transport ships? I've checked the command options on a few of the ships and see no option for this. Thank you!
I sure do like biscuits

Let me explain a liittle bit the usage of the SDS, and why you may need it.
This is a pure transport script, that delivers wares from one of your factory, in an endless loop, to up to three others of your factories.
Why have we split that command into 3?
Its because Commands can be used on differnt ship classes! The delivery command for one target can be used with an M4 and up, but the Delivery to 3 destination can only be used with an TS.
And some explanation to the internal price per wareunit, you can define. In my eyes, EGOSOFT made a mistake, that they are not able, to make a difference between internal and external prices of wares! This SDS uses now his own price for ware transfer, and you can see it as "the internal value, I want to get for my wares, so that my factory has at least enough money, to buy resources"
With that trick, you are able to activate the "Races can buy my product" and set the selling price all times to maximum. (Still not recommended on low level factories like Powerplants, or mines -- you will loose money, because its better to use them in your other factories.)
The next point of these SDS is, that you are able to "live" the "factory loop" Its real, now. And as additional point, the money of such a loop will be gathered only in the last factory of that chain, if you are able to set the internal prices properly. So you will need your accountant only in the last Factory!
If you are selling your products to externals for max. price, it maybe neccessary to use and additional schip, that buys additional and cheap resources from AI factories, too. This will be done in future with the BPH package. Otherwise, on long run, the factory will run dry on resources, if only supplied by an SDS chain!
The SDS is a very simple script. Do not expect wonders. The BPH, that will be released soon™
is more something of the MK3 class.
Best factories to use the SDS on, are factories, that can supply more than one other factory. Like Powerplants and mines.
I hope, I could help you a bit, with that explanation.
Greetings Mike

Right, so basically if I have an SPP with a selling price of 10, supporting only 6 facts (instead of the 9 it can support) I can set the selling price to 20, allow aliens to trade and give to TSs teh command to shift cells from my SPP to the other 6 facts? (3 per TS?)
People, LEARN:
Lose: To be unsuccessful in retaining possession of; for example: He's always losing his money.
Loose: Not fastened or restrained; for example: Loose papers

You got it.Lutzie wrote:Right, so basically if I have an SPP with a selling price of 10, supporting only 6 facts (instead of the 9 it can support) I can set the selling price to 20, allow aliens to trade and give to TSs teh command to shift cells from my SPP to the other 6 facts? (3 per TS?)
And in the SDS you can set the delivery price to for one Energycell 10-13 Cr, depending on how much you pay for your Crystalls

Can you set the internal price to 0 like the get.ware script? So your transports are delivering to your other factories at no cost that way you wouldn't have to worry about setting the right pricing througout your loop and leaving enough buffer money. Or do you have to set prices within the games normal guidelines?

The price "0" is default if you do not type in any price. (null)decadent wrote:Can you set the internal price to 0 like the get.ware script? No check for "real" ware prices!
