I have not asked you to do anything.

I saw an issue, reported it, suggested workaround, outlined reasoning. That's it. Maybe devs will pick it up, maybe they won't. Nothing to think about.

Yes, it can be one. Probably as a mod even. It is not my job to make it happen. The usual steps would be to tear apart trading screen scripts, see how they're done and if there's entry points for new table and data types. Best case, it is doable thorugh lua, worst case require source code access. Depends entirely on lua being able to store persistent data either within the save or within game setting.

There wasn't however any request directed at you specifically. It is a bland boring gui-related task with nothing interesting to contemplate.

Hm. Maybe my enthusiasm ran away with me a little, then, if I see a chance to be useful I tend to try to use it. :)

in all seriousness, unless they go with this idea, the only solution is to need less manual values. I've tried to point out how that could be possible. :)

Well, I got this sort of impression, yes.

Basically if gui lua script can attach data to anything it is doable as a mod. If it can't, needs source code level tweak. I don't recall if blackboard is accessible from lua or not. It might be. If blackboard is accessible and stores structured data, possible to store rules. Or maybe there's another persistent storage.

It also wasn't a call to anyone who is not a dev to drop everything and start implementing it. It is a way to streamline a ton of things. From my viewpoint. Maybe devs will be interested, maybe they won't be. Would be a nice to have an improvement. It is also not groundbreaking, it is a rather dull gui task.

That is the rough idea. No user action necessary.

*smiles* I'm sorry I got a little... heated back there. I can get a little defensive, because I try hard to provide all the information needed for all this stuff, and seeing it turn into an argument upsets me - even if there's no argument intended.

Are we okay? I'm really not trying to create a hostile environment, just trying to be helpful.
