Expanding on the Yaki as a faction and giving them a unique and fancy expeditionary ship sounds fantastic to me. A few new Yaki/Xenon/kha'ak sectors with several Yaki stations, general expansion of them as pirate force in the broader gate network, a new player start along with some mild art touch ups for their current ships and maybe even a couple new yakiified variants of existing economic ships would all be fantastic. As for the paid portion, a similar formula as the Hyperion I think is fine. New Start and a short little quest line to get a fancy new ship that you can get and unlock for the Yaki faction. A stealthy and quick little mini carrier/freighter with a few pads, the ability to rearm/repair and reasonable defenses could be fun.

How about a special, unique Auxiliary that has the ability to change out engines on L size ships and can fabricate S size ships. Maybe it's slow to compensate and maybe fabricating M size ships is too much. Maybe to compensate M size ships can't even land on it at all. I like this idea. But would want it to include M sized ships even if they are built very slow on an outside dock. Combined with the Aran would be cool to.I would want it available early in the game somehow probably with a bit of a short story.

The Project Genesis game start makes it clear that an Aldrin DLC is on the table.

The Yaki in the current game are not real 'Yaki' but a splinter from Beryl from what is said in the plots.

Would be nice for the "real Yaki" to make an appearance with the above ships in a Full DLC with
Aldrin (all of its ships) and the Hub.

Aldrin with its PHQ terraforming challenge and a HUGE optimization sweep (fix all the broken culling in stations
including mirror culling from Monitors in trading booths with impossible reflections).
Fix broken lock box missions, Bozo repeat dialogs when player preempts him, Drop Cargo
message when pirate is dead, etc

Add random defend station missions with locked pirate faction or criminal faction ships to be bailed during event.
(Would be best if ignored by police etc during event)

Mini DLC to add ships specific to Corporations and associated sectors.

I haven't played x3 yet past just starting the game and not being able to get controls the way I like them. However, I must say I do really like the Hyperion in X4. I went to Nipoleos memorial with it and took on all the Xenon there single handedly. This ship just might get me in an L size ship more often instead of always using a fighter.
