"Are you an employee of EGO Soft? If not how can I open a ticket directly with them?"

CBJ is a senior dev and manager in Egosoft and you 'opened a ticket' by posting in this forum.

The config file is found here: Drive:\Users\Yourname\Documents\Egosoft\X4\SteamIDNo\ and is named config.xml.

I have no idea why you would consider your issue being swept under the rug given the attention you have had so far. People have been giving you lots of advice and it is not clear what you have done about some parts of it - eg deadzones and analogue/digital input bindings. Saying it works as you expect elsewhere does not mean that every calibration is guaranteed optimal as other games can have quite different input requirements and control implementations that do not operate in the same way as X4.

My best guess is that the profile you're using has mapped the first person controls to one or more of the rotating knobs on the throttle. Can you load the X52 default profile we've provided and see if the issue persists? Also make sure that you've set the X52 as the primary input, in the Manage Controllers / Joysticks menu, by selecting it in the topmost slot.

I have loaded the Default X52 Profile "I started again with the Default X52 and it was spinning. I pushed the throttle forward and the spinning came to a stop."

How can I map the throttle so it's only forward thrust.
Is there a separate dead zone for the throttle?

Sorry if I offended, didn't mean to just wasn't sure it was employees answering.

Thanks

Good news, After some of you ideas I got it working.

Now I can't get the mouse to drag the map. How do I set that up correctly?

That's great to hear. For the benefit of anyone else who finds them in a similar situation, can you explain what exactly it was that you did to get it working in the end?

With regard to the new question, that would probably be better off in a new thread of its own, so that it doesn't get lost or buried. When you do create a thread for that, please explain in a bit more detail what you mean by "drag the map". :)

Just to catch this - Egosoft employee will have a big EGOSOFT badge under their name (their name also is in bright yellow). If they don't have the badge, they are not an employee.

Moderator badge is not an employee badge, as I understand.
