I've always seen the military (that word and whatever it stands for) as a bad and negative tool. I think it's the way various goverments have used them.
I'm a bit of an idealist (so bear with me)
I've always seen the military as a negative and destructive thing, and I've decided that I want no part in an organization like that. Building bridges and community projects is good and worth noting I think, - but those things are kinda rare compared to the real calling out there now. It's interesting for me because I have a great interest in the subject of battles - weapons etc, from reading technical data books on the MLRS to playing tactical shooter simulations on the PC..
For me that's just a bit of 'hollywood' fun, but I'd never want to go out and do that stuff for real. I think it's that thing of having one chance to get it right that prevents me from going, ...that and the whole "war on terror" thing has become a tired routine.
What do you think of this?
