If you have Crew on your ship, and Fly to a Station, and Fire them there, do they then become part of the Population Count on That Station??? That might make the ship come up for Build Quicker if Player went to Local Stations Hire several AI, the Fired them all on Shipyard???
I did try to go to a Shipyard where one of my ships is In Que, and Assign the Ship Staff to the Other Ship... No Go.. That Ship does not Exist Yet...
Can a Player Assign Staff To Work For them on Shipyards/Warfs???
I have never seen a "Barracks" in any of My Build Modules...

In order to hire crew for ships from a shipyard, the shipyard must have workforce. If you want to assign 50 service crew or marines to your ship, for example, the shipyard must have at least 50 workforce present. BUT, hiring 50 crew for your ship from the shipyard does not deduct any workforce from the shipyard. If the shipyard had 250 workforce, and you hired 50 crew for your ship, it will still have 250 workforce after your order. I suppose they did it this way because workforce is added so slowly that if it was deducted, then workforce, and not any wares, would quickly become the limiting factor in building ships.Lone_Wolf_3115 wrote: ↑Tue, 30. I do not think firing your crew on a station will add them to the workforce. There is no way that I know of currently to transfer workforce from one place to another. You can, however, move crew from ship to ship, using a tedious, one by one process.

There was a post somewhere around here stating that dismissing crew on a supply ship transferred it to that ship. Haven't checked that myself though.

Using the new Auxiliary Ships added by 2.50 that have their own population pool.
You can apparently capture a Large ship and dock it with an Auxiliary Ship and fire the Marines to which they are added to the Aux Ships Population Pool. I think having a full Aux Ship means losing those marines and their unique stats you've worked hard to build up, however?

Ship to Ship I Understand. I am Trying to figure out if I can Get AI To a Shipyard to Get My Orders Built Quicker...
One Game I Played, If You Built More Farms, The Population Grew Quicker. Perhaps here, If You Grow Food Products to be sold to Stations, They Grow More AI??
