Re: Teladi Abandoning Ships?
Getting this too with Tel, also a number of Arg. I just use the shields on a large ship to detonate the mines and pick up any nice finds. I've got a small / medium shipyard up and running, with maintenance bays too so don't really need the pickups now. I also had a magpie change from no known owner to green, must have been one of my ships that did it as I've never owned a magpie.

Re: Teladi Abandoning Ships?
Usually when I see an abandoned ship with unselectable mines around I look into mission proposal screen for nearest 2-3 sectors and after about 150 hours of gameplay I see lots of ships without missions attached to them. It looks like the mission proposal was timed out but ship and mines are still present on the map. I think not only ships should be spawned only after mission acceptance but also there should be script what removes them when mission becomes unavailable and the player isn't present in same sector.

Re: Teladi Abandoning Ships?
I normally thought these missions were just a cheat, spawning things out of thin air. But yesterday I noticed their "effect on economy", so to speak. One of these ships with mines spawned right between the gate and the superhighway entrance in Nopileos' Fortune. While I was there, I suddenly heard a series of explosions. A quick glance on the map, and sure enough, there was a freighter that flew right through the mines and got blown up, spilling its wares all over the place

They might still have shields if the bailing pilot does not sabotage it. I have had this with a few Minotaur Raiders.RainerPrem wrote: ↑Mon, 11. Mar 19, 11:24If pilots bail, their ships don't have shields afterward. The ships in minefields always have their shields.

I have made a hundred or so pilots bail, and there never was a shield afterward. Do you use any mods?Imperial Good wrote: ↑Mon, 11. No I do not use mods. The chance for the shield to persist is very low. Guns may also persist and all non-critical gear is subject to a "sabotage" roll when the pilot bails.RainerPrem wrote: ↑Tue, 12.
