Would be cool if you could introduce more militaristic uniforms later on in the game, say after you control a sector and your company slowly becomes more of a separate nation than just a company.
And while we're at it let's also have picking a name for that faction and a 3 letter acronym or whatever, and then having your properties automatically named with that.
Plenty of companies have uniforms. Not sure what you are getting at.

That depends on the kind of company and kind of job. In many, if not most jobs, it`s a uniform. And he`s right, you wear what the company designates you wear since you represent the company while they pay you.
1. Please do more on NPC civilian/uniform variety, and bio customisations, Devs.
2. Stations need sirens/warnings when enemy is close in numbers or Station in danger of destruction (in Sandbox).

I was thinking this very thing last night, employed a right scruff bag just cos he had the best stats. Now he's in command of my current flagship lol.

PMC and security companies usually have some kind of uniforms.
Civilian mining companies, like oil rig crews also have sort of uniforms.

In the statistics screen, there is a "clothing mods applied" stat... So maybe it's a feature they wanted but didn't get round to putting in yet? :lol:

That would be neat - Player shipyards, player uniforms. I wonder what else didn't make in into the release day?

I would love this as well.

I HATE seeing a cap ship bridge with marines in tshirt, and some have suit and tie yet my manager looks like slob. I have seen some cool armor on some in spaceports, I try to nab them for marines when can but they get lost in the shuffle.

I think randomeness of stations is one thing but my ships need uniforms! :)

This would definitely be useful. For example, like the "redesign ship" menu, have a menu section where you can choose the default uniforms for pilots, service and marines. The only issue is that the selections don't always scale 1:1 with male, female, and alien npcs.

For now I've just been editing my save file to change appearances.

So while digging through the files just trying to see if I could find what I missed to get the mod I'm working on right, I opened up the "charactergroups.xml" file, where they seem to define all the characters and their outfits that can spawn... And most amusingly I found this:
