Yes pretty much the same actually, a few flags to add/replace in the xml file but that's all...The work mostly consists to rotate the components and slightly change the coordinates to adjust to the new shape of the elements (turrets, shields, landing pad,...).

It's is more boring than difficult :)

Anyway, If someone does not finish the job before me, I will make a separate topic to share this ship and maybe others later for people to use or improve on the top of what I did (If I get the agreement of Egosoft when I'll ask :) ).

Does that mean we can in theory import X2 ships, give it the classic bridge interior and have us walk around the classics? I bet it would take some work, but wow it would be a dream
No idea for that. I suppose it all depend if the X2/X3 3D models have the same proportions that the XR/X4 models. But for sure :
- Way more work than from XR
- At Best, It will probably look weird in X4 as the X2/X3 models does not have the same level of quality than XR/X4.

As for me I will just focus on the L/XL ships of X Rebirth.
