Most games make a config file where the definition of grafic cards is set if there are more than 1 (like in your case).
Go to Documents > X Rebirth and take a look at the config file, maybe there is an entry like
dxadapter=0
or similar that you must change to dxadapter=1 to make your power GPU work.
Some more thoughts:
You shouldn't play such demanding games like XR on a laptop. Play them on a desktop computer where your GPU is correctly ventilated. Laptops have miserable ventilation designs that will soon or late result in your laptop to overheat permanently, or even some plastic parts near the vents to break.

I think we have exhausted the hands-off diagnostics route now that we have established that you are using the Nvidia card for gameplay. What you really need is someone with the same equipment to say how well they can play the game and how they may have improved gameplay. There may be some pretty obvious system or Nvidia setting that makes all the difference on that set-up that I just don't know about.
