Fix beam weapons(other then Kyons) PALC and the others so they both don't lag you into oblivion and damage done by AI and player would be the same. Currently both require mods.

Can't think of anything else related to bugs that isn't listed here. Tho newer bonus pack would be awesomesause. Maybe include bonuspack configuration as vanilla options, so changing things like booster energy priorities won't require Cycrows mod manager hotkey.

On something unrelated to bugs... how about letting devnet have a go with another plot :P Would be nice to bring everyones favorite flying pyramided back to AP, so a plot that ends up with something akin to old Kha'ak sector coordinates would be pretty nifty. Who doesn't want an on demand Kha'ak squashing!? Maybe do something with corporations, it was pretty fun back in TC and they are still there in AP just... you can't do anything or interact in any meaningful way with them.

Also CBJ is slacking... Sticky this before you get caught in a dark alleyway by a bunch of horny borons.

- Factories for all those "find only" Missiles

- Fix the particle effect of PALCs (its working fine with me, but on many a machine, its lagging them to hell)

- Give the Pteranodon the ability to fire CIGs in its turret slots.
All Split Ships above M6 can switch between ISR and CIG, doesn't make sense that this one can't.

(nor sure if this is already covered)
-Support for 4k Resolution

This is great news as I have no plans to buy rebirth
So I have just completed reunion, and started terran conflict for the first time.
The first thing I have noticed is the text is so much smaller and really hard for my old eyes to read.
An option to resize the text in windows would be a great idea.

So adding to the list of unlikely things being asked for, I'll throw out an idea I've had for awhile.

For an upcoming AP patch, I'd like it if there more continuity between AP and X:R.
Now this seems like a strange request but AP was supposed to be "A Bridge Between the Old and New X Universe", and yet there many things that just don't match up.

So the idea I have is 3 fold

1.Add Devries and Fields of Opportunity (Or are we renaming sectors now?) into AP as a sector or as multiple sectors (like Albion). Possibly with plot for Terran players to open and setup the Operation Cantera in Devries.

2.Add some ships from X:R to AP. There are many ships that are described in the encyclopedia as outright predating the gate shutdown, or being implied to predate it. However there may not be a lot added to the game for having new ships, so it may not be worth the effort.
I've compiled a list of the ships that could be in AP, but it turned the post in to a wall of text. If desired I can provided it.

And 3, which is more for X:R. Add more ships from AP to X:R. Seeing the Split ships and the Katana was great. I'd love to see more ships make a come back, especially the ATF and Aldrin ships. Maybe a Devries based plot that uncovers a lost cache of Terran supplies?

And some other crazy ideas, just ignore any that asking for to much:

Buildable gates. the System goes down in X:R anyway, let us go nuts.

A generic Pirate shipyard, not just one owned by the Yaki.

Maybe support for modders to add new factions.

Player Station populated by non-Player NPCs that can offer missions and barter, Also do this for X:R please.

And Improve bartering too, like adding rare goods like weapons and ship equipment.

Terran Marines.

Terran Frigate Weapons. Terran frigates are boderline useless without an counter to the Incendiary Bomb Launcher.

Steam Workshop support for TC and AP?

Some way to build Jump Beacons.

Terran M7M. Currently only the ATF has one. There is even audio for a USC M7M named the "Nagoya".

Also there is audio for a "Goner Trading Post". Hint hint

Buyable Atmospheric Lifter.

More ships like Sirokos that can carry more marines. and buff the number of marines carried on all ships.

More ways to board ships. Let us use the Transporter Device, or just let boarding ships fire grappling hooks like old timey pirates if the shields are low.

Easier and quicker marine training

More Aldrin/Terraformer ships. I absolutely love the way they look, and it would be a dream come true to have a full fleet of Aldrin style ships.

Speaking of Aldrin, the X-encyclopedia says they left the Argon Federation only 300 years ago. Shouldn't they be able to use Argon weapons?

A Plot line that gives us the Valhalla blueprints.

Blueprints for the Acinonyx Prototype. It's a prototype and the original maker doesn't care about it anymore according to the plot, so why not let us make a production model?

Further optimisation, any at all. Only thing that stops me from playing is the inevitable unplayable lag that forces me to give up my saves.

and I second all the requests for the missing missile and weapon fabs.

Allow the player HQ to RE and install ship equipment, such as Jumpdrives. Also allow it to RE and build stations.

Add the Corp Missions back in, maybe with a Terran Corp?

A clearer and better defined war between the Argon and Terrans. Attacks being launched from strongholds and flying to target sectors instead of attackers spawning out of thin air.
Being told when an attack if being launced by your faction and the ability to influance how often an attack happens. Being able to pledge your allegiance to faction regardless of your start(unless you chose the war starts).

Make the war spread beyond the current setting, According to the X-encyclopedia that came with the SuperBox and X:R Collector's Edition the Paranids are working with the Terrans, which makes sense as they hated the Argon.
and what Spilt passes up the chance to fight Boron?

War makes strange bedfellows, in fact even the Teladi CEO's grandson to quote the X-encyclopedia "sought sanctuary in the Solar System" implying the Terrans weren't the xenophobes the Argon claimed they were.
Odd how everyone who refuses to bow to the Argon like the spineless Boron is conveniently a xenophobe. And yes, I am a proud Terran fanboy.
My point is that the War should include more then just Argon and Terrans. Let the old X universe go out with a bang. Let chaos reign, and unleash the great war thats been brewing since the start of X.

And stop spawning ships to attack our Assets in the warzone.

I think I rambled on enough, wish I had some simple ideas but there aren't any simple things left to fix.

Also this. If you consider it an integral part of the story and want to leave it as is, maybe put an option in a menu somewhere for the player to toggle it on or off. Even better, an option to toggle the whole warzone on or off.


-Show the reputation for all factions, pirates, xenon etc by default so we don´t have to do the cheat/script dance.

-Make player owned shipyards and equipment docks really functional and useful not the useless space fillers they are now.

You guys might want to have a look at the steam version of X:BTF and X: tension aswell.
They run terribly on Windows 8.

Also, in X tension, it's impossible to play with freighters and TLs - because it doesn't matter if you move the mouse UP or DOWN, the ship will always steer to upper direction (try yourself).


The cockpit mods in X3TC and X3AP - I really hope that you will consider implementing an option to have cockpits in vanilla game. For the sake of immersion, and feel from flying a real ship, instead of camera.

I would advise looking at Litcubes Saturn Hub complex's as they eliminate unwanted FPS lag.

That alone would improve the game immensely. I would suggest a separate mini plot to allow access to purchase them, but they should be made available to all game starts.

Also player EQ docks should be able to buy licence's to equip ships as this is another game breaker of the original versions of X3. Again you still need the right rep level to purchase the upgrades and they are charged for at the same rate as NPC Race EQ docks but save a lot of hassle without being a cheat.

I like the idea of a Jump Beacon fab, though it should probably use resources sufficient that minimum value exceeds the maximum sale value of the Beacon (maybe a huge quantity of Nividium + various high-tech wares).

Make TC boarding work like in AP. RNG rolled in the same way. Onboard marines ejected if your boarders reach the core.

Please raise the cargo limit on the Tyr in TC so that it can make use of its loadout, you did this for AP quite a while ago but left TC untouched.

Visible rep for pirates and yaki.

As for a mod that I would like to see become vanilla, Litcube's Bounce is one of the mods that I consider essential.

Consider Xchange guild portals as well, the larger gates are immensely valuable to capital ships and avoiding getting splatted on the other end. They occasionally spawn half-inside asteroids in unfocused jumpdrive sectors but that's just because they weren't designed with the increased size in mind.

If I can think of anything else that I'd unquestioningly like to be made vanilla, I'll post it here as well.

Amazing, I thought this game was considered finished and would never get another update!

For my wishlist, I have only one major wish for TC and AP and that's the end game as a trader. All high end ships are combat oriented, I'm thinking about something like this, which would make an awesome personal ship for my trader:

- Ship size around a regular M6 or slightly bigger
- TS class, so it can dock at all stations
- 1 or 2 GJ shielding
- Around 10k-25k cargo (not sure what's best for balance)
- Good turret coverage, around 8 turrets, maybe even some flaks
- Speed, somewhere 120-160 m/s
- Maybe a dockig port

For balance:
- Weak laser and shield generator
- No manual lasers to fire
- Slow turn speed
- High price, like most M7 ships around 35 million

So, basically you want a TS with TL cargospace and shielding, moving as fast as an M3 and manouvres like an M2.
There are at least two things in that setup that are self-defeating:
Many guns but low generators - your guns won't have enough energy to do anything good with it (as is on TS-class right now).
High speed but low turnrate - Even slow ships with high turnrate tend to rather collide with the environment than evade objects.

What you want is probably found already in the S/M section.

Bug fixes and some new plots for AP would be nice. I seems to me that AP is overall better in balance and playability, but does not provide too many plots. A handful of new exciting ships would be nice as well. You can't do anything wrong with new ships :)

1. Would really like a "Dock At..." Command Button right up front in the Ship Command options on the map.

Combat and so many other aspects of the game would be much more enjoyable if we didn't have to dig three screens deep to give one of the most common orders in the game.

2. Visible Yaki and Pirate reputation!

3. Write LitCube's BOUNCE into vanilla. If even only as a toggle-able on/off option.

4. Complex Construction Kits-- would be very nice if there were more tube-length options, so that tiny alignment errors don't become time-consuming, frustrating nightmares of tube hell.

5. All Axis viewing (360-degree camera rotation) during Complex construction would obviate and remove the need for item 4, above. Perhaps if player triangulates X-number of Adv.Sats in sector, would allow this option.

6. A variety of new, different Terran lasers would be neat.

7. More Wings. Add more colors or sub-sets under thoe available! The few we're allowed become inadequate in later-game. Especially once the PHQ becomes operational. "Follow" command is lugubrious to use. At any given moment, I have 3-4 wings used just kitting up new builds/acquisitions.

8. CODEA as a vanilla option would be great. So very, very useful and intuitive. Makes large battles a pleasure to command and watch.

9. More late-game plots would be awesome. Once the War is over, the Xenon wiped out, the HUB, PHQ and CHQ are up and running, and your friends with everyone, all that's left is Player Hegemony.

-Perhaps Plutarch Mining Corp starts up growth and direct competition with the Player once a certain set of thresholds are reached (#Credits/#Stations/#Profits per hour, etc). Blockading Gates, attacking Player assets, and undercutting prices. It could bridge the gap between X3AP and Rebirth.

-Perhaps you can fix the Stock Exchange, and make it an actual, functioning part of the game. What if the Player's Corporation, and Subsidiary Assets could be listed on the Exchange at a certain time, and for a certain sizable fee? Now, it has real meaning, and not just a dissociated Spammy Credit dispenser mini game. This would be a good place to put the Corporate graphs.

Hi Bernd,

I'm sure you and the devs have already pulled apart the work done by several of the very talented members of the community, and had a look to see how they have improved your game.

If you then use this new found knowledge as a basis for the patch and work up from there, we all should have a vastly improved gaming experience.

From past experiences though you are prone to ignoring the advice and requests of thousands of your player base, and just doing things your way.

Thanks for returning to update the game that was Egosoft's finest hour.

All i have to say is thank you for not giving up on past games.

First I would be thrilled to see the functionality of AP, implemented in TC and if possible even in Reunion (i m mostly interested in combat so, boarding/capturing everything that flies).
I remember reading that there are ships in TCs data files that are not available in game.

Having all those features in previous games would make them worth playing again and again.

Also, if possible to run the older x games (x-tension, x-b, x2) with the graphic engine of x3 or later.
Something like the Elder Scrolls Morrowind, being run from inside Oblivion or Skyrim and thus with the current graphics engine. (its a community project http://tesrenewal.com/ )

I havent played anything before reunion and although i tried, the graphics just ruin it for me. So i would LOVE to play the story before x3 and not just read it.

Apart from the above, any mod that improves already existing features of the game should be imo, implemented.
The work is done and ready in the mod section and there is no greater reward for a modder than to acknowledge his work and make it a part of the game itself.

Also consider sending mass mail to all registered users because what you are aiming to do, is big for the X universe.
Many ppl have stopped playing / visiting these forums after rebirth and might miss this so important post.
This could actually re-ignite the X flame.
