The highways - seems a very simple free flight solution which allows for piracy - but that works for me.
Map / radar - for me this is the single greatest triumph. The only thing is that when you get near to a station it seems to automatically switch to station information with no easy way back to radar. This means fighting around the station geometry has to be radarless. Unless you can and I'm wrong?
Combat rebalancing - seems much better but needs a real game to test.
Autopilot - struggles with new highways atm in beta but obviously is an essential feature we all missed.
Commands - a few extra commands, attack my target etc but still hidden in the existing horrible menu system. A step forward but let's not get greedy - they're clearly working on it!
First-person Empire Building. In fact, i cent believe how good is that game. Decent graphic and concept of building empire is fantastic. I can not imagine how good will be when we got fleet and station command. Ty egosoft.
Edit: give us "Shipyard expansion" like "xenon hub" in x3tc
Being able to repurchase cockpits in-game is great, tho too cheap (imho). Appreciate the extra info in-game too, with the cockpit screenshots and description in the encyc menu tab.
The cockpits really spruce up the feeling of the game, actually feels new again. And the super highways are gloriously epic.
Also noticed you hotfixed some weird F11 functionality too. Was having fun with those just as you updated.
I couldn't play again until I could tell my ships to gtfo when danger was inc. The beta build of the game is looking pretty good now. So thanks for that, I can now play again. And sorry for getting mad before.

The patch is in Beta, not released.

I totally accept it is in beta .... But why introduce new monster destroyers and not sort targeting .... Why can you still watch enemy fighters fly inside buildings and then watch friendly fighters destroy the station to get at fighter, ... I can understand the rush to improve the game but not at the expense of the game .....

C&C has been updated to include "Attack my target".
And own ship Targetting in general works fine in the main. There was also short cut keys introduced a few patches back for target nearest and target next.
Still it's looks more like 1.35 or 1.50 definitely not 2.0
because still no fleet commands, and no new plots, no buyable S-ships/fighters,
no new ships to fly (same way as Skunk).
initially I think it looks like 0.9 compared to x3ap+tc+xrm (mods enable all luxury).
Targeting enemy fighters does not work fine ,,, it only works fine if there is one fighter and no other turn up ,, otherwise loss of targeting every time.
Some people are just too invested in their hate it seems.
OT- Looks good so far i like the new highway system seems more plausible, Auto pilot is a welcome addition for micromanagement on the go (or the making of cups of tea).
New starts is a BIG one IMO, that along with new ships and fleet commands.
All in all seems well on it's way to a game worthy of the X brand.
I am really quite hopeful for future development.
