As happy as I am to see improvements, it does seem an odd decision to focus on such advanced gameplay first, such as the station building management, when there are immediate frustrations found in early gameplay which damage the experience enough to stop most players from getting to that point. At least here you are working on the fundamentals of the game - it's just the order of the dev priority list I find curious. Another example, adding a new ship class - under normal circumstances, great - but these aren't normal circumstances and who is clambering for that? More ship variety was needed, but needed so high up the dev list?
Okay, some of your staff are obviously graphic designers and they need to be put to work but NPC / station individualisation should surely be the priority? Adding interiors to the player ship would have got you far more bang for your buck imo.
I think a little more focus on what is making people put down the game in more the order that they are encountered would make more sense.

Im still waiting for content. It feels empty of gameplay for me. All i see is a fancy engine with ships and stations in and a lackluster plot and nothing to do in the game apart from those that want to trade or make stations which isnt what i fancy as i did all that in past x games. Would love to see good scripted missions, interesting characters to interact with, some sort of progression system and a better nav map because i have no idea how to use the map in this game im in near the station next to the sun and dunno how to find the jump gate cos i duno where i am and where it was the naming of the zones and lack of info on what in each zone is etc.
Expected too much i suppose of a new game from ES i guess that it wouldnt be much different from past games.

It thik they should add or expand DV stations. Having to build only three station from DV construction vessel is pointless and those stations are useless. Also adding some new NPC stations in DV would be nice too

Fixed crashing when multiple joystick devices connect is nice, glad this has been finally solved. While I am SO TEMPTED to reinstall XR and try playing again, I must resist, and remain firm in my resolve to wait for the other Player Ship and Player Piloting Experience issues to be fixed also. Hopefully by somewhere around v.2.1, (Xmas 2014) rather than v.3.1 (Xmas 2015).

i think combat is not up on there priorities as it seems. i think there more focused on getting the econemy functioning properly first.
