now i am goign to spend time on chaing the skunk to the argon Eterscel fighter..it would be a permo change , but after looking at the associated files i think i can make it happen..if i can get one working then others would be possible.
im also mega obsessed with being able to manually control my cap ships so thats also on my list...i actually refuse to really play the game until it works like it should. so we are all gettting closer thanks to smarter people than me.

I'm also obsessed with piloting my Arawn capital ship manually. Then able to have my fighters dock within my Arawn capital ship is the second obsession of mine. That was why I fell in love with X3:AP. @ Freeman_79 custom interior is complicated. It seems as if Egosoft created a lot of incomplete parts as if they would allow us to do it ourselves or use those parts later on for new ships/ upgrading ships. I personally agree, that playing with only the skunk is boring.

I am using Balor as my personal taxi all around. Its great with removed Skunk. Would be possible removing frontal antenna from Balor. Or may will it be worth your time, making new frigate just for this purpose? One with great field of view. May be, with reversal positioning landing pad, with Skunk on the back?

possible of course, but my released stuff so far is more about finding the posibilities currently and currently i am busy with other stuff (editing ships/interiors via xml is time-consuming)
if not stated otherwise everything i post is licensed under WTFPL

UniTrader, you might be able to answer this for me. Why don't the shiptraders in devries sell terran ships even though both wares.xml, buildmodule_ships_devries_l(and xl)_macro.xml all have entries for them to when instead all they sell are argon/pmc ships? Where could I go to change that if I wanted them to be able to craft terran ships?

Well, I never said the Skunk was boring, I just hoped it would be a little bigger, more the size of example the Firefly(Serenity).

What he put in does nothing and that is the point. Basically each ship, structure, and interior in the game is just a collection of parts defined by an XML file. This means that with skill and in time the right tool, people could build from those parts custom ships, stations, and interiors. Or even develop mods that create procedurally generated elements using those modules.Dark_Ansem wrote:can you explain a bit more what this does?
