[Mod]5km Station Scan Range

I just installed this (the 1hr version) and its had no effect. I still have to get close to the !'s. I'm playing v1.17. Do I need to start a new game? I checked btw and this is turned on in the extensions.

Better Mousewheel
LR Scanner Duration
More Reduced Masstraffic
No More Grandmas In Space

Turned off all other mods, restarted X Rebirth and started a new game, still no difference, have to close to about 300m or so to get a scan which is what I was getting without tyhis mod.

I downloaded v03, but in extensions in game it says that its v01, I double checked btw and I definitely did dl v03

Hmm.. it should definitely say v0.3 in-game. I just checked to make sure the correct version is on nexusmods. But even the first version I released should still work. Nothing changed in patch 1.17 in relation to this mod.
If you are still having trouble, try starting the game with debug enabled.
Steam/right click game/properties/launch options/: "-debug all -logfile debug.log" without quotations
Post your log file up somewhere and I will take a look.

This is a great mod, and very handy.

Just to make it integrate more with the game, I would recommend in a future update to turn it into an actual type of game scanner

Maybe a Tradesmaster Scanner or Military Scanner or some such thing that is sold by the scanner merchant

An idea: extend only police scanner to 5km and the profi scanner to 2km. so you can improve in game and do not start with the op version.

can this be mod be updated. not working anymore. running 1.19. would really like this mod as it saves a huge amount of time.

i would like to know if this mod can be updated to. its not working with 1.20.

as i found that butterRanges does work with 1.20 and CompleteStationInfoUnlocks also works.

is there also a option to add scanning the docking parts of the station cause i still have to fly around the station to scanthe docking parts.

I hope this gets updated because I like the increased buy/sell opportunity timer. I never really bothered with the discounts as i only use trading to build up my stations.

Let me see if I understand this.

I fly within 5km of a station and the entire station is scanned and I get all current data on trade offers and it stays in my comp for 1 year.

Now lets say next week I fly by this station again. While my comp update the trade offers at that time and replace any "old data"?

ok I downloaded this. What exactly gets put into the extentions folder?


Does it work with a current game or does it need a new game start.

i use complete station info unlocks mod and works perfect for me. only scan one section and the whole station is being scanned with all the sections.

i tried this 5k scan range but ou would need to visit every section of the station to get a full 100%. well for me it is. not sure how it works for others.
