On the other hand it means Saya really did blow the Torus on purpose.

If you look at the destruction of the Torus, you clearly see placed charges on multiple pylons. The single one Saya placed on the reactor couldn't have taken out the ENTIRE Torus.

The destruction of the Torus was an inside job. It's just a conspiracy for the ATF to conduct illegal freight scans upon TOA transit. That's the REAL reason why the player can't buy a Terran Police License.

Sad really, too much money for spaceweed and spacefuel warped her brain, Drove her paranoid and made her manic depressed after her failed romance with Julian... yep that'd be right.

This may be an easy way for the storyline to get rid of the Torus forever - probably becusae it was too difficult to implement graphically into the game itself - impossibly big so with restricted docking area only - and maybe could not be successfully transferred to XRebirth? = *boom* torus rip.
