Yes, no plot for the Terran Commander gamestart, yet. There's only the war for that gamestart.

I might have got that bit wrong. You might not get them till after you cap the L. I'm unable to check until the game is patched to fix the slowdowns due to missions.

Here`s a tip that I accidentaly uncovered while free piloting the space.
I was in Menelaus` Paradise sector flying and all of a sudden on radar I seen 5-6 ships coming up - red ones.
Oh boy I thought here`s a rumble as I seen Q invading the sector, so I thought to have some fun.
By the time I flew to him (some 30km away from me) Rapid Response Ray was already there and had taken care of Q, so all I was left were some small N`s and L`s.
So I said, what the...? and went on for them. Ray shot at them but did not hit any so I chased them and busted them.
But what really surprised me was this.
I took care of N`s first and got left with 2 L`s running away ( they went for south gate??) so I chased them and killed them. Upon taking l`s shield down he bailed (altough no pilot left and we know why) so ship was blue ready to be claimed. Altough Ray bested me and shoot at it behind me to claimable ship so he managed to destroy it before I could get to it, but nevertheless later on, I went to Getsu Fune and choose protect station mission there - goal was to protect the station from Xenon invasion.
Fleet that attacked it was coming from north gate and mostly there were N`s and L`s. Again I took down N`s first as I could withstand fire from all the had (was in Griffon Sentinel at time, having 4x1GJ shield) so L`s were left for last.
Again one bailed but this time there were no one to destroy it. I dispatched remainder of fleet, got nice bonus and elegantly danced to it.
So I claimed L and thought I will find some cool weapons but alas my GS seems to have destroyed even his shields, so I was only having plane.
Though I must admit it looks pretty nice, with that "antenna" at it`s nose.
Too bad I did not read that it would be needed for later missions, otherwise I would not sell it. It was worth around 520k with no shields and maybe 1-2 low level weapons.
So my tip is: if you need L`s capped fast Getsu Fune might be your best shot and my advice is to accept to defend station from Xenon as it might be best to try it like this.
Hope this helps.

There's a certain ship that appeared during the last mission in Albion.
or maybe simply a rare sight

Did anyone try to cap the Albion (M6) ?
I don't remember the whole name, but I met it during the attack by the pirates. Didn"t have a single ship on hand to tail it, too bad.
I'll check back tomorow or later in my Encyclopedia see if it's been recorded there.

No. For the reason given in the first line of the original post. Having to highlight spoilered text is, IMO, not a significant penalty given the advantage of keeping the plotline unspoilt for those who don't want to know what happens.stoggy wrote:It is r******* that even after logging in to the forums that everything that is fuctional information on the game has "SPOILER" over. Bring players back to X3 universe share the intel. Unless you want them to keep playing EVE or skyrim.

I don't see how we're keeping the "intel" to ourselves, if you can't be bothered to highlight a text to see it it's your choice. But don't say it"s useless, as Spychotic says many players actually like to discover things by themselves and the Spoiler tag is specifically made for that purpose.stoggy wrote:It is r******* that even after logging in to the forums that everything that is fuctional information on the game has "SPOILER" over. I'm starting to get hungry, me thinks I'm gonne cook some noodles.
And I still do not see how EvE or Skyrim come in this matter.

Sweet mother is the plot really this short? Here I thought my plot bugged because my mission window was empty and the boss' big ugly face in a window wouldn't close. I think I'm going to load a previous save and not complete the final mission, rather wait until either more content is added or the war update messages have an option of being turned off because it keeps interrupting SETA which makes the idle/automation process pointless.

That is honestly the best plan. Your options are 1. Get a Aamon Prototype you can't reverse engineer and mass produce without scripting in a PHQ; 2. Pick a mission near the end and never complete it. I prefer deliver resources because you can't accidentally do it by being in that sector; 3. Script the whole war out.
It's crap
The second option is the best. I'm not upset but the next patch can't come soon enough. Which is going to be when again?....

It's just too bad because the Aamon is a pretty sweet ship. Just like my nova proto, but with an extra anti-missile turret, 2 more shield slots, and faster laser recharge. The ship is ugly as hell, but the perks seem to make up for it. I"ll play again and see if I can tolerate the Seta stopping war announcements. I wonder if I get far enough away from the war zone the announcements might stop which I haven't tried yet.
edit: er forget that. didn't matter where I was, the announcements interrupted SETA. thankfully I had a save just after I collected my 3 decas so now I just have to avoid docking at the military base in Argon 148 and I'm fine I think.

Re: [AP] Albion Prelude Plot Walkthrough *now in progress*
I can only find 1 available of the following:
All factories in the Argon sectors seem to have 0 available (except the 1 I got at the mission facility, so I am missing 2 more. Where do I get those?
....also, why do almost every factory have 0 products available of almost every product in the game?

You must do a number of things for the Beryll researchers;
- Deploy 3 Lasertowers around the facility

If you check your in-game encyclopedia, it will give you a list of every supplier (or consumer) that you've discovered so far for a particular ware.
Another thing you can to do avoid searching manually is equip a ship with Best Buy software, a Trade System Extension, ans a jumpdrive and give it the "remote best buy" command (under the trade menu). It'll automatically search everything you've explored to find some of what you're looking for.

Awesome tips!
Only I can't seem to make it work. I have the upgrades you mentioned installed, but when I go into the autopilot command console and click trade, options are displayed but not clickable...?
My best-buy page only has a few products from the current sector on it... do I have to actually by 1 of what I am looking for AND be in a system that sells that ware for it to show up? Mayne it is just showing all available wares in the current sector - is there a way of getting that information for a particular product and in all sectors I've been in (would make more sense to have a best price program showing that info)?
Also, when going through the star map, base by base, manually (is this what you mean by in-game encyclopedia?) I can find what I need, only to jump to the sector and find that there are 0 available of that product in the facility... gah!

Thanks for your effort in bringing us the best X walkthroughs.
Between this:
and this:
I got a cargo escort mission (Jonferco Heavy Load Transporter) from Nathan's Voyage to M148. I got the ship destroyed but the plot continued without problems and now I'm heading to Albion to protect the research station.

When the Terran forces are no more in Belt of Aguilar, you are called back to M148.

You then have to go to Albion and protect some research stations from Pirate attacks...

Short plot
Hmmm, it is indeed very short.
However, the Hub and PHQ are there now apparently.
Are there any other parts of the X3-TC plot still in there at all ?
presumably, that would give you some ways to repair terran rep

I've not read any of the stuff in the spoiler tags, as I haven't started the plot yet apart from flying to the first sector. (I now get war reports.)
I used the Nostalgic Argon gamestart and have maxed out rep with all races, including the terrans. I'd like to stay on decent terms with the terrans (for now) so I can continue to buy the lovely ships available at Aldrin, until I've got a bigger fleet.
I was kindof ignoring the plot, but I'd like a PHQ. Is doing the plot going to completely destroy my Terran rep?
