Visual Revamp Supplement Mod 1.4 uploaded, see post 1 & post 2
for details on where to download and how to install.
I am working on finding better upload sites but that will take
some time. For now this will have to do.

A file of some 200 mb will take like 40 minutes to download .. FYI. (just click on free download, wait like 30 seconds and then you can start downloading it)

From now on this mod will need Base Mod 1.2 and supplement mods 1.3 & 1.4 to work correctly.This mod (with this update included) will totally revamp Argon, Boron, Teladi, Split, Paranid and Pirate Space.

serialblack : thnks for yr nice words, its good to hear my mod is getting appreciated. Use direct links i provided in my first post to in yr case download update 1.3 & 1.4

I know the download isnt that fast but this site is at least willing to upload my mod and keep it uploaded for some time (90 days).

Uploaded small update 1.5 which give the following ships their own unique Pirate dark red color :

Carrack
Galleon
Brigantine
Pirate Ship
Caravel
Mobile Pirate Base Hauler

Pics and Download link added to post 1

This will replace the Tships of previous update. Just extract rar file
and let it overwrite the tships file.

Sweet Downloading now, I don't know what size screen your using on your computer, but I got mine hooked into my 54" TV screen....the detail is just amazing, hopefully I can do this without having to restart, yet again (not from your mods...but other "conflicting" scripts that needed to go into a correct order in order to all function properly. I actually had some modding ideas I wouldn't mind throwing at you if your knowledge and scripting skills are as good as they seem to be....pm me if your interested in my thoughts :wink:

I wish you had uploaded all to the mediafire instead of those horrible mirrors. Wonder if the trend for horrible file hosting will ever end...

Though mod looks promising. New colors tend to add a fresh touch to the game, let's see how you've done it.

But please, use better mirrors next time. :(

Problem is that i can only upload 200 mb to mediafire and already got my
link blocked once there. i agree that those upload sites give a lot of commercials and irritating waiting times but unless anyone else knows a
free site which will upload some 2 gb for free without waiting time and ads
pls let me know.

i also put a torrent file up for grabs which i will be seeding for some time,
you could try it.

If a lot of ppl interested in this mod are using usenet i guess i could dump it there as well .. let me know.


EDIT : on second thought i decided to give Mediafire another chance,
uploading now and providing Mediafire links on post 1

Just to make people aware, the update is definitely NOT save game compatible....at least not with my mod list :lol: but still looks sick....the greatness continues...I wonder whats next?? ;)


oh and I'm not too certain, but have you tried www.fileshare.com? I know its free, but I'm not to sure of the specifics. I think you get at least a gig.

I noticed the save-game compatability disappearing with update 1.3 i think, already adjusted that on post 2. There are just too many changes to bods and scene files.

so whats next ? a break from this mod i think :wink: i need to put some time into the game myself and see the changes upclose.

:lol: from what I have seen I would think so. But I can say that if it wasn't for mods and dedication like this from ppl like you, Cycrow, Paul, etc. (Not trying to leave dev's out, just don't wanna take up too much space :wink: ) I don't think I ever would have blown the dust off this game to play it again. So enjoy yourself, and like i said before, if you need ideas I got some, just no knowledge of scripting at all.

Edit: I did get my savegame to work, I had to remove another good mod, although in alpha stage. I thought I had the old 1.3 that was too large, but I had 1.2, once I "re-arranged" the files properly replacing the original 1.2 and adding the newer 1.3-1.5, including the 3.1 map everything worked just fine.
I just removed STFUnit-MilitaryPlugin Alpha Version1 by Serial Kicked. Promising plugin, but at some point maybe you guys can talk and get the conflicts worked out?

Uploaded Supplement Update 1.6 (see post 1 for download links and pics)

its a supersmall update but with an overall big effect. This update 1.6 will color all asteroids into a subtle blue color. It depends per sector how visible
this will be (for example Ore Belt wont show much difference because of the light in that sector but Empire Mines on the other hand shows it perfectly.

Just extract the folder dds to yr installation directory, it only has 2 dds files
in it. I'm almost afraid to name this update 1.6 :)

This can be used on any game .. no base mod or pre-supplements necessary. Just grab it if you wanna see the difference.

yeah .. the torrent in general isnt used by many and probally only works when i'm having my pc on and running bittorrent (i seem to be the only one seeding it). Sorry about that. Just grab with mediafire.
Last two updates are small anyways.

edit : i could be misreading yr post .. if so, my apologies.
edit 2 : oh dear, i did totally misread yr post :)

on a sidenote : i'm recommending to use immersive backgrounds 1.1 (created by Connary) with my mod. They dont seem to clash (apart from some teladi metal plates that my mod will overwrite with its own modified teladi metal plates in its changed scene / bob files i think).

Ya I have version 1.0, wasn't aware that there was a 1.1 out yet, I'll check it out now, and if you can let me know exactly what programs you need, I can certainly help you out there...I have all kinds of ISOs....to the range of about 3/4TB... :D

Repacked the whole mod into three cat & dat files (14, 15, 16) and provided three ways of downloading (Mediafire, Uploading and Torrent).

Made mod compatable with X3 AP 1.0
Added for X3 AP users support for two important mods :

Killerog's Engine colour Trails MK2 : this can be used temporarily untill Killerog makes an X3 AP adaption of his X3 TC Engine Trail mod. Dont be surprised to see a few trails looking a bit off in my adaption.

Litcube's Saturn Complex Hub : added the xenon factories into X3 AP's tfactories and described how to set it up.

Users who already downloaded my mod dont have to download the whole mod again unless they wanna profit from the lesser number of cat & dats.

Users who already downloaded my mod and now have X3 AP as well also dont need to re-download whole mod but just the parts that relates to X3 AP and if they want the optional parts.

New users will have to download whole mod + TC or AP parts + if they want the optional parts.

Having trouble using this mod. When I load a save, about 10 seconds later the game crashes. If I start a new game, it crashes before it loads completely.

I don't have any other mods installed, and I downloaded the files from Mediafire.

This is a fresh install of the game from Steam and nothing is modified.

Any ideas what I should do?

Hiya Harvest, thanks for taking the time to downloading this mod.

For steam users :

Visual Revamp Mod 1.6 : has three cat / dat files (14, 15, 16).
These should be installed in yr steam X3 TC directory which has already 01-13 cat & dat files.

the X3 TC steam directory can be found here --> C:\Program Files (x86) \Steam\steamapps\common\x3 terran conflict\
the X3 AP steam directory can be found here --> C:\Program Files (x86) \Steam\steamapps\common\x3 terran conflict\ addon

Now its comes to whether yr using X3 TC or X3 AP :

If yr using X3 TC : pls download the types folder for X3 TC
mentioned on first post and extract it in the steam X3 TC directory

If yr using X3 AP : pls download the types folder for X3 AP
mentioned on first post and extract it in the addon folder which forms yr AP directory (addon folder is located inside yr steam X3 TC directory)

Start new game (not save game compatable)

To Harvest : pls let me know if this works, if it doesnt work pls inform me what game exactly you are using and what additional parts of this mod you are using (if any) from post 1 for this mod.

Just a quick note my latest version of my downloader has a AP version of my trails mod. It works I just haven't released it as such yet.
