Strong points there but I still feel they could pull it off. I would say that it is up to X2 to be a hit. As for not that type of game it could do it. Coke X the new cola! I'll go out and buy it!!

Deus ex has advertising it was spotted in various parts of the game street hoardings wall posters etc and it was either coca cola or pepsi i can't remember and that other shooter that had the Bullit time in it can't remember the name again

well you gotta think about the dactory descriptions. what if a macdonalds wa son the side of a Rastar oil refinery. so you open the information window with a nice little pic ofa factory with a big red Macdonalds sogn and the woman says. "The rastar refinery is an evil smelling place" or whatever it is. but looking at a macdoinalds sign and hearing evil smelling may not give the right idea. and also what happens if Pepsi sponsor 20 factories and there are no spare factories going when 1 is destroyed. do egosoft throw up a new station so they don;t lose the money.

They could load the images into the warp tunnels animation. so as you pass through you see a little 5 second advert while it loads the next sector.

Advertisement for extra funding.. Yes, I would accept advertisements.. but only one one condition... that the companies or Egosoft X-ify it
What the companies rely on is not the writing.. its the shape of a logo..
I see how it would be hard for the mcdonalds logo to be X-ified, but thats just a letter anyways.. they got no need to advertise.. I see their empty wrappings in the streets and on the motor-ways anyways (Oop.. think I got a bit off-track there )
