Right, I just wasn't sure if the bigger "Ion" weapons did the same thing but faster. So I managed to track down two (only two) IonD's for my Skiron, my Cobra is off picking up my marines and I'm looking for a Hyp Vanguard, but can't seem to find any. Found two Agamemnons. Where do they hang out, in that area with the Aggies, right?

I used 6 Ion-d's on a Q once, and the only difference seems to be that the hull melted a lot faster. It took around the same amount of time to remove components. I don't know for sure, but I suspect that simultaneous 'hits' count as one event, therefore 1 Ion-d will take the same amount of time to remove components as 6 Ion-d's but do 1/6 of the hull damage. 1 should be enough.

I grabbed my first one in Empire's Edge and my second in Pontifex' Seclusion, followed shortly by my Aggy... :)

If the Hyperion has no on-board marines or sentry lasers don't bother frying it. The first one almost ripped my Cerberus a new one doing that. The second one only had 3 crappy marines on it so I just stole it as is. Much easier.

Found one in Preacher's Refuge, captured it with 4 4* marines and 2 3* marines launched from my shiny new cobra. That was REALLY easy, did it on my first try. :D :D :D

Now I know how easy it is, I'm gonna be stealing ships left and right! Hooray for M7M!

EDIT - And hooray for you guys for helping me figure this whole thing out! Thanks so much!

I tried boarding a TL with 2 TPs using the Launch all and Board ship commands. It took me 3 reloads to have them all launch at once. What I ended up doing was putting both of the TPs on Piracy-> Board ship till they got to about 700m from the TL. Then telling them to launch all marines. They were trained no lower than 3* except for fighting which they were about 2-3* in fighting with 3-5 higher/lower guys in the mix. I ended up taking it with no losses and capped the ore mine I was after. (I am role playing as a pirate and can't buy any upgrades (tho I HAD to make an exception for the bio scanner as they aren't in the wild), ships, or stations)
