How to start the Aldrin missions in your X3:TC 2.0 game

That is weird. In my game it definitely came immediately after the HQ message and not before. I've had max terran rep all along, although at the time I did lower and re-raise it just before recieving the messages (capturing atmospheric lifters).

Seems like a mystery to me, I am glad I got to play the aldrin missions, even if they were a bit short.

No, the stated pre-requisites are correct - for people running vanilla.

You're running a modified version of the Hub plot which doesn't set the correct flag for gate set 1, so waiting for the HQ plot to start is the only one which works for you.

I'm looking at the HUB plot at this moment.....

and for the life of me, I cannot find anything that seems to impact the Aldrin missions at all.

Aldrin checks for a completed cue of L2M011, and I cant find this anywhere.

In the OPs list, there is nothing set after delivering the Ore, that appears to have any bearing on Aldrin. At first look, this part of the code looks completely unchanged.

The only change I can find in the Hub plot code is the fix for the dolphin.

If someone would like to point out the code that refers to Aldrin in the Hub plot code, I'll look at it.

But at this point, it looks to me that Aldrin may simply be using existing Hub cues, and as such, the modified versions will work perfectly as they are. (Albiet creating an invincible dolphin).

I'm happy to update them, if someone can point out where the changed code is.

L2M011 is the top-level cue for the Aldrin plot, called from 3.02 Plot Missions.xml (L3M02 sub-cue L2M02 Version 2 Mission - this is the code on the previous page).

The problem is that "HUB Set 1 Unlocked" is not set by a pre-2.0 2.007 Hub Plot.xml (L2M007).

In 2.0 it's set in a couple of places - once where the actual trigger is, and another one I assume is to ensure it's set for people past that step but not yet started on the HQ.
