Generally, savegames are compatible with all patches, unless you've modded your game. So no, you shouldn't have to restart to see the changes.Bane_v2 wrote:Nice! Thanks for the update and letting us know the date early.
I was going to wait for 2.0 before restarting (since I assume we'll have to restart to see all the changes)...
Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.

Is modded different from 'Modified'? As in, if you use scripts with the resulting 'Modified' tag in your game, does this render savegames corrupt with the patch installed?Nanook wrote:Generally, savegames are compatible with all patches, unless you've modded your game. More X, always a good thing, but we're only up to 1.4 - where'd 2.0 come from?!
So again great to get new missions but it's very soon. (i still haven't finished the existing missions, and i'm guessing few people have.)
Terran stations - also a good thing, (Which should have been in the game, in the first place, though maybe there wasn't time)
I wonder will ATF and any of the prototype ships in the game be made available to purchase. - You should be able to buy any ship the races you are friendly with have. (You shouldn't have to capture them.)
Will there be more patches in the meantime, as i'm sure it's take a while to produce new missions?

Modded means that you have added ships and need to select a mod package at the initial launcher of the game.data_plague wrote:Is modded different from 'Modified'? This changes the core files of the game and thus in most cases isn't compatible with a new patch
A scripts on the other hand may or may not be compatible with new patches but mostly they are compatible with new patches.

As far as the box, I think I'll just stick with my original which will now become the collectors edition.
As for changes, and fixes: I hope the patrol/defend stations rewards get more balanced. You're now getting more reward for less risk.
2. Fingers crossed that the hardest hub missions get just a little more manageable. Not much easier though. It's a big undertaking and it should be on par with the Bala Gi missions on a difficulty scale.
3rd and last I wish they would take the Superman "S" off the Springblossom and rebalance it a little. It could have half the speed and one less shield and still be a very formidable ship. The Springblossom is X3:TC's over-maxed ship to X3:reunion's Hyperion. Only it's much more so.

This looks awesome, but who the hell is IGS Games? I've never heard of them. Egosoft couldn't have picked a more obscure publisher.
I would have picked Stardock, as they would distributed it through both retail and their Impulse digital distribution system.

How can one player flying one ship defeat a big gang of pirates?
Good flying, or reinforcements. Lots of reinforcements.

I very much doubt Egosoft had the luxury to be able to pick and choose from myriads of potential publishers. Were I you, I'd be very grateful that they found a publisher at all, since I still strongly suspect that they would have published 1.0 in the US if they had been able to secure a publisher by the time of release.AjaxDude wrote:This looks awesome, but who the hell is IGS Games?
