I've got an extreme example for you and the save game files to go with it. I have always noticed the performance drop after playing, installed 1.2.1 and it fixed it somewhat for a while. I left seta on for about 12 hrs yesterday and came back to 4fps, no matter what sector I go to. Just crazy considering the system I have. Its funny, its like my CPU is currently doing 100% of the rendering (and it is, gpu's are both at 0% b/c the cpu is spending all of its time spinning ). Oh well, back to fallout 3 I guess, this is just rediculous.

change your settings to medium (textures)

blame ATI hehe.. X2 are just a crossfire in a card. probably their profiles are not updated to take advantage of multi gpus.

im using a GTX 280 and to play this game i need to put my game textures details to medium.

You must not have read a single line of my post friend. My gpu's are both idle b/c my cpu is chugging away and not sending the gpu's enough data. It's what happens in a majorly cpu limited situation.

Before I seta'ed all night my gpu's were both at 30% each, which is what I expect since x3 is not a very graphically intense game. I've tried lowering the graphics for shits and giggles and that did nothing. This has nothing to do with crossfire profile, 0, nada. This has everything to do with the cpu being overloaded with instructions from the game that it is unable to feed the gpu with enough work to keep it busy.
