Adding the ware is pointless if the feature is gone.
A ware is just an index number with a fancy name and an amount in your cargo bay.
Wares don't do anything.
Scripts have to specifically check for "their ware" to make it appear that the ware is doing the stuff.

My complete script download page. . . . . . I AM THE LAW!
There is no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Nooooo!
I loved the ecliptic projector, don't think I had a huge amount of practical use for it, perhaps to re-orientate myself sometimes, but more than anything else it just looked coooooool.
Roll up some spaceweed, aim your ship right down the centre line, whap seta on, and just enjoy watching those soothing blue lines amble by...

Hmmm... I don't think I've ever actually used that thing before. I know what it does; I've used one extensively in Space Force Rogue Universe because their navigation interface is boarderline non-existent. There are no landmarks and no way to set any on that game. So, a 3D grid in space is absolutely required in order to tell which direction you're going if you're trying to explore a map.
But, none of that matters now as X3TC is the best space-trader I've ever played, counting Elite, Frontier, First Encounters, Privateer, Privateer 2, Freelancer, Space Force, Starflight, Starflight 2, Oolite, Solar Winds, Solar Winds 2, X2, X3R, and Evochron Renegades. At least, those are all the ones I've ever played and am able to compare X3TC to.

Heh... Is North, South, East and West in X3:TC? I found that type of orinatation for a space game, pretty strange, myself.
"We are waiting for you West of the gate, look for us there."
West? Umm.... huh?

I liked the projector as well, but it lost some of its usefulness in Reunion. The projected grid would always take up the same amount of space, regardless of how big the sector actually was; plus it would only appear in the exact center of the sector map [coordinates 0,0,0)]. So while it would be helpful in a smaller sector like Cloudbase Southwest, it was almost useless in areas with massive amounts of space between jump gates like Maelstrom.
It would have been more effective if the grid stayed locked to your ship, rather than the center point of the map.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.
