Sorry for the lack of pertinent info. I thought maybe this was a generic problem. Forgive me for being new to this.
The overall name of the script is on the Xai-Corp page and is under Missile Defense Hotkeys.
The file is called 'Xai-Corp-MissileDef-HK-X3TC-1.0.zip'
Within the .zip file are three subfolders: t, scripts and documents.
t contains a file called 7206.xml
scripts contains 6 files: unistall.xai.missiledef.hk.xml; ship.hk.trgt.miss.xml; ship.hk.missiledef.xml; setup.xai.missiledef.hk.xml; lib.unregister.hotkey.xml; and lib.input.get.missile.xml
finally, Documents contains a ReadMe that says unzip it to main X3 directory and it will put the files in the right folders.
I have done all the above and it doesn't show up in game so I wondered if there was something else I need to do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to X3 and don't have several years worth of experience to fall back on.

Finally a keyword to search with! And the search in TC Download Library does find a thread for that script. A thread.
And you know what? There was already a question like yours in that thread. Even with same answer that I would have proposed.
As for the ".spk", that is a file format of 'Plugin Manager'. A script/mod package management utility. But there is no point for me to describe it here, because it has its own sticky thread.
Ahh well, having all the pointers given isn't it now a time to follow the TC S&M Posting Rules Rule #1 Choice 2? Yes, it is, but I'll summon the Mighty Merge instead.
