Looks pretty cool and everything, but it's still not showing us much new stuff.
We get to see a trans-orbital accelerator, but not actually using one, the missile salvo we have already seen, but nice to see it again. The independant firing aim is a nice looking addition and will probably please a few people. Some nice views of a few new ships.
Would have liked to see if the trading interface/BBS had improved, but I guess I'll have to wait for the 'Trade' trailer.
I'm hoping the trans-orbital accelerator works in a similar way to Freelancer's 'trade lanes' as moving very fast through these large sectors could really help make the player feel like they are really in space and could make for some pretty cool trips round the solar system.

Well, this video shows flyght control that is unlike to previous X games as I see (more like DS1).

My favorite part of XTM's rendition of the Sol system was that you could actually see that the jump gate that takes you from the Earth to the Moon actually pointed to the Moon from Earth (and vice versa).Demotruk wrote:The Earth sector there was done very well.

But I really like how the new Accelerator Gates look in the X3:TC screenshots, so I can't wait to see how those work (hopefully not just an Ancient's Jump Gate copy).
Yeah, I'm a bit wary of changes to the X3 combat mechanic (although I will admit it can stand some tweaking). I've spent the last few years becoming an ace pilot in the X-universe, I don't want to be degraded to a novice as soon as Terran Conflict comes out.Vitez wrote:Well, this video shows flyght control that is unlike to previous X games as I see (more like DS1).

Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

Same here it looks more like freelancer flight control.KloHunt3r wrote:Yeah, I'm a bit wary of changes to the X3 combat mechanic (although I will admit it can stand some tweaking). it seem like they have ditched the joystick support from the game and turned it into an fps but then with ships.
"No need for flying skill just a fast mouse arm" from the looks of the video.
I guess i will be waiting to hear form people that got to hear if the joystick support has been dropped or neutered.
If it has no terran conflict for me.
