Perhaps you are looking for some thing along the lines of our planed "Mega Freighter"?

and for thoes of you who may be thinking "this is a cheat since you will be able to make more money then a super freighter in one run..."

yes you will make more in one run with one of thies, however you will also need to figure the speed (pretty slow compaired to a smaller freighter), its manuverability (pretty huge and very slow turn rate)

as well as its cost to buy and maintain (gonna get pretty expencive if taken through areas prone to battle)...hey not our fault it wont have any wepons...hopefully you will have escorts handy...

Hiya,

Really like what you have done with the mod. I'd suggest you just ignore comments about the absurdity of a navy fleet flying in space. All of the other races construct ships according to their own design philosophies, and I doubt all 5 (now we should also count the Terran, Yaki, Pirates) - or whatever number you count (I play Xtended, so for me it's around 9) - I doubt all the races got the correct design pertaining to real astrophysics efficiency (I don't even know what I just said). Having "old" navy ships flying around in space is just another design philosophy that other races employ. In fact, the slim and compact shape of Earth fighter just make them that much harder to hit.

Anyways, "philosophical" discussion aside, I really like the carriers. They look simple, and just have that...simplicity of Earth design. Just normal shapes, no...fish looking spacecraft (that can't be the "right" way to build spacecrafts), or round looking Paranid ships, or some while looking Kha'ak or Xenon ships with spikes anywhere. They are cool though, but I'm saying that another design philosophy is a fresh idea, like the Otas corp in Xtended mod have a whole other look; instead of new ships that looks...um...old.

ps. In fact I saw your ships available for download on the thexuniverse forum and I'm about to download them.

ps2. You should link people to this page for all the cool pictures. I would love to pilot this one.

Ok after a minor set back the X-fleet is going to return, we (me and Grev) have decided to take the ships and revamp them a bit andfreshen themup, we will work to keep the original idea however we are going to concentrate on certain ships for now, we are looking for people wanting to help out, we need moddlers and texturers (sp?) to help us!

Personally I love it, I down loaded it and i just fly around watching the ships on fly by, they are awsome. Any thoughts on a sub or two, they could be missle boats.
