Sartorie
i'm afraid ive got a problem, i uninstalled ver 1.3 and installed ver 1.31, and also installed comagent trainer at the same time and now i cannot get freightrs to autoname. so ive uninstalled both scripts and tried installing just yours
and now some ships when commisioned will name and others wont, and these are the ships that were originally named. when i ran comagent trainer which is this script http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=171317
when it was run they all went to jobless in the name, after which i restarted the three of them as cags, 2 renamed happily one wont.
i then uninstalled and reinstalled just version 1.31 and some cags are named and others arent, can you think of any reason that some will still rename depending on what theyre job is but others even though they are set for the same job wont
im going to try purchasing some additional ships and see if those will rename
Legionnaire
*Edit i changed thie ships homebase, changed its order to return home and then when it got there set it as CAG again and now it autonamed again, just had a thought, is the speed of naming controlled by that t file you had me edit before? /Edit*

Yes the delay determines the time between the checks for auto naming.
When you activeate auto naming on a freighter in 1.31 it will set its name part followed by an "-A" to show its auto naming followed by a blank jobname - then it actually takes 5 to 10 minutes to name itself the first time. And checks for renaming itself every 5 to 10 minutes from then on.
This is not as fast as used to be but should produce next to no load even on big freighter fleets.
