Location: No real location, they stop and stay at the nearest station to them at the time they wish to rest

Leadership: Again no real leader but the one acknowledged with the starting of the 'group' is one by the name of Elwood. It is unknown if this is his real name or not, it is presumed that it is an alias.

Race: It is unknown the numbers and dominant race or the 'group', there are members from all the races.

Ideology: These guys are here to help. If you have anything you need, no matter how menial the task they will help for the right price. Mostly they disapprove of illegal activities although they may undertake some if they can see a greater good as the end product; this said no one can see the future and sometimes things go wrong.

Military: What they own is whatever the members own and buy. They consider themselves as a loosely affiliated left wing military group, who is not acknowledged by but has ties to the various races military forces, both ground and space. When it come to military and police, they are normally called on to, 'go through the red tape' sort of mission or the clean up. They have, on occasion been called on as reinforcement.

History: Coming under the definition of a religion more than an organisation. Their members are followers of an ideal and this is how they come together thus they are spread far and wide even though their numbers are small. Basically they are do-gooders. Their physical numbers are unknown but as many as eight ships have been seen under the one banner, including one M6 class ship.

enlighten me a bit how are we supposed to continue the Factions RP?
so Elwood J Blues has posted something along the lines of a short story... and now what?
do we all just post separate short stories or something? ...

I guess there's a few ways you could do it. A short story, a la Elwood, or perhaps in script fashion, maybe even just a report-style post, simply listing the things that are happening for your faction/characters.

When I get round to creating my faction (probably a while, yet. My story, and taking over the world, are taking up my time at the moment. Soon!) It'll probably be in short story format, but heavily influenced by other factions, as I intend to have either a politics-oriented, management or mercantile faction. So interactions with other characters is hopefully going to be frequent!

@Tenlar: The rules say that you can have a faction comprising any race.

Suggestions for Factions

-Race Splinter Groups
-Terrorist Groups
-Offical Companies
-Pirate factions.
-Noble Families, Dynasties and Clans (any races)
-Mercenary Groups
-Goners (Militant or otherwise)
-Single Traders, Mercs, Pirates, etc.
-Alliances (Any type, military, civilian etc)
-Other

I'm assuming the 'alien race' means any other race; Kha'ak, Ancients, user-made races etc.

Hello, this is Admiral Jeran Korak. You may be wondering what the hell is going on, so I'll just say.

I have been banned from this forum, because of topic necromancy and swearing. However, this was not my doing. Someone hacked my account from a computer in colledge and used it to do this, sadly however The_Abyss is no longer responding to me E-mails. I used this account as MSN has proven incompatable with my computer, for what reason I do not know. If you would be so kind as to occasional post the chapters I would send you through E-mail then I would be eternally in your dept. This however is a last resort, I still have hopes that I might be able to sway the ADMIN to the truth.

Also, if you would post about this on my OOC thread, I would also be grateful, I have been reciving endless PM's from people and been unable to respond, if you could inform people as to my current circumstances then that would alliviate the preasure upon them and myself considerably.

Sorry I haven't gotten involved in this guys, I haven't seen something I can easily do, so I'm in the process of writing up a more "me" RP, that I'll either post ASAP or if this dies.

Can I ask for a clarification on 'alien races' for Tenlar's benefit please, AJK? I posted above with what I thought were the rules, but you're the DM I guess, so I figure asking you is the better plan in the long run.

Yeah, I'd like to know too... my first two posts are assuming it's okay to have a light mix of other Community of Planets races (A,B,S,T,P) involved (as long as there's a point to it), but if the rule is no aliens, period, then it's not too late for me to make a few changes to my crew.

Right, you'll have to forgive me. What I meant was, no "Alien alien" races. As in: No entirely new alien races suddenly arriving on the scene, no Ancient factions, and no Kha'ak factions. Apart from that, anything goes really.

Location
Several offices in a high-rise in the government quarter of the capitol city on Argon Prime, a short distance from the Senate. Why pay for your own security when you can piggyback on that of the Parliament?

Leadership
Dan Gardna. An ex-Argon Intelligence operative, he resigned after becoming disillusioned with the Service.

Ideology/Race
Argon only. Gardna will only employ Argon of Police, Military or Intelligence backgrounds, to the point of discrimination against all other jobseekers.

Military
Three unarmed scoutships, one escort M4 and one TP.

Background
Furious and frustrated after his strong recommendations to have a terrorist cell in Antigone Memorial forcibly shut down were ignored, Gardna handed in his resignation and set up Semper Vigilans as a private detective agency, at first. However, it didn't give him enough of a feeling of having made 'a difference.' His agency soon started supplying shadier deals behind the scenes, for the right price and the right bidder. While now only fringe-legal, at best, he still considers himself and his employees patriotic Argon, who are acting in the best interests of their Race and Government.

as a result of a cataclysmic defeat, insurrection, mutiny, restructuring, quick growth, etc...
