the colonial fleet got a new sort of munition ( ok, in the series normal, but i'm still working on the effect. )

Great looking wallpapers, but unfortunately, I have a widescreen monitor... any hope for a 1440 x 900 size?

Hello Viper!

First off I wanna say that this is some FANTASTIC work!

I am posting cause I went ahead and got the Alpha release from the german forums & I have a few questions.

First, the map in the alpha is all wacked, it shows systems that are in XTM & some of the sectors behave strangely. Is this because you just havent released the map that goes with it or did I do something wrong? Also, in regards to the sectors, I really liked that every thing was so spread out. It made it seem more like you were really in orbit & had to travel for some time to get to each station in the sector. :thumb_up:

Second, I noticed the Missle guns were not in the alpha, which is ok cause there was a "read-text 900430" missle gun already there. However the sound for the weapons fire from the Battlestar's & Basestar's doesnt seem to be from the show.

I have the sound for the galactica's railguns & forward battery's myself if you guys want it. I pulled it right from the show for another game I own. If you wanted I could send it to you. It sounds great....

Well thats about it, oh wait I wanted to say that I loved the sound effects for the FTL jumps and Dradis contacts! Way freakin' cool! Cant wait for the next versions!!

hey admiral,

thx for your words.

ok, meanwhile i released a b-version, because the colonial firms caused some ctd's.

when you have the plugin manager/ship creator you don't need the 499001 t-file, because this programme used the same file and an another t-file is inside the mod. so you get no problems with readtext errors.

you should do the mod into the mod folder an the map into the map folder. in the start menu you choose rise of the cylons as your main mod and ingame you should select new game and self created game. choose my map, bsgx3_universe.

we used the sounds of the bsg-series. but we have to cut it for x3 or you have the hall-effect. but in full automatic fire you'll hear the sound as whole. sure, you could me the files.

this mod mod is not compatibe with xtm or somethin else, because here you have only 2 races ( cylons and colonial )

after my studies i want to translate into english and cut some of the jobs, because at a wrong moment x3 could say goodbye when a invasion fleet, a lot of civil ships and your ship are in one sector.

hope the mod will successful like in the german forum. we will bring new things next year - maybe the battlestar prometheus ( if we get the permission ), adding the big guns in the front of the pegasus, ragnar,fleetscript to produce on battlestars and tl's, etc

but still need time, because we are only 2/3 guys

mod is still in progress and the english version get this in the first release

the work is in progress and for a complet english mod i need a translator for german into english.

models 75% ready for charlie and first english release, with promised features: new weapons, ragnar anchorage, new effects, scar, etc :roll:

and i want to present a small mod for rise of the cylons. but this mod will never released.
because, critics said has nothing to do with x3 reunion and i have not the crew to realise the whole mod. ( scripting, modding, etc. )

the mod is called Cylon War and started 40 years earlier. exists 2 variants, tos and rdm. our last trailer was broken so i did it new ( rdm variant ). you'll see the refits from J.L., which were used in the english version also.

Looks great and i love to help but i cant mod a ship or station. But i can change scene file's and balance ships. And translate....... well never try'd it:D

So i hope you can find someone how can helps you so that you can release the whole mod (and dont let the critics let you down) 8)

But now a small update, the ships were reviewed by JL and are actually already operational. But we still have more and therefore, the mod still remain in the processing. If everything goes well, we switch from alpha in the beta status.

An another update, the Viper Mk I (known from the old series), a shuttle again, the old Galactica, new Basestar old and Mk I Raider, new Blackbird. Models are by JL, thank you here again.

Ragnar Anchorage as a station where I once briefly in the round wanted to ask, because there is still possibility, ragnar as trading station even have to want to. There is the advantage m1/m2/tl/ts/tp also easily dock, or hq for possibility.

These are really great ships I can't wait for the Mod to be released so I can play it. This definitely looks like a keeper.

As prequel on Rise of the Cylons, we propose a few years back, about 40 years, and land in the midst of war against the Cylon.

Cylon War is the name of mini mod. So we had planned two versions

current version is by testers and not available. would have to translate in english, but i have not the time :cry:

later come new scripts and eventually more ships.
