I've got the same prob as novacat, but I'm only trying to hide them. I also get it when trying to list them. I know you only have to type the letter and that it doesn't matter whether if it's upper or lower case. This also happens when i try to get them back.

I realize that other players have it working so it must be my game. Nay ideas would be appreciated.

thanks

Hi christennison,

I have just looked at the script pack again - and seen that I forgot to include the script to convert to upper case. That is why you are having problems.. That was rather stupid of me..

I will update the pack in a couple of hours (sorry for the delay) and re-post here when I have done so.

My apologies to all,

Hi,

I have now updated the package to include the forgotten script.

It didn't take quite as long as expected, as my ISP only dropped me out a few times....

Once again, my apologies for this oversigh.

Please enjoy,

Hi novacatt,

I am glad that it is now working, and that my stupid mistake has been nailed.

Please do not add another picture, it is much bettere for me if everyone uses the software and generates their own view of it being used - especially if they try and look at the message resulting from a forged license... If you show it publicly - I get nothing. If people make their own picture - I get 100Cr or 10,00Cr... which is much better for me.

@ all

As compensation for the error, everyone affected has had the money that they paid for the software refunded....
A reduction in the usage fee is not possible, as it would hurt my bank account.

Please use this software often (the fees help my bank account to feel much healthier)...

You are a very funny man B-O'F.

I was going to post about trouble I was having but wasn't sure if it was attributed to something else. Thanks for the speedy update.

BTW Script installer places 1.01 alongside 1. Shouldn't it overwrite? It may be just the name change confusing the plugin manager.

Hi Squelch,

I am glad that it is now working.

This was all due to a stupid mistake.

It is not funny - all those lovely Credits that should have been mine.. I will have to think of another way of getting some more....

On closer inspection of the spk's, version 1 and 1.01 only differ in name and the addition of the upper case library file. To avoid a double entry, uninstall version 1 first before applying 1.01. If you do it after, the main files will be removed.

The pursuit of more credits is always a serious matter. Please don't think I take your fiscal policies lightly.

Hi Squelch,

Yet another good point.. remove the old version first...

Fiscal policies outrank everything else.. especially when it comes to making money...

The zip no longer seems to work - it won't open!

Anyone got this script can host it?

I just checked the download and it works fine. What are you using to open it with?

This sounds familiar. Some time ago IE wasn't handling zip downloads correctly and led to corrupted archives. I'm not sure if this is the case here.

Are people having problems using save as, or simply clicking the link. It might be due to mime types not being handled correctly.

Personally I use a download manager. There are several free or cheap ones out there. These tend to use a different method of retrieving the download, and give other benefits too.

can you update this so the command is listed only on the player ship and not the remote ships as well? considering the command can not be activated remotely.

Hi draffutt,

As far as I know there is no method of limiting a command so that it is shown only on the player's ship. The command is listed on remote ships, but it is disabled - you cannot use it.

The 'command check' instruction only allows "Available" or "Disabled" - it is displayed in either case, but is greyed out when disabled.

Sorry, I cannot change this.

Glad to see that you are trying it though - every time you use it, it helps swell the "Help make the Ol Fh'art Richer" fund....

Actually, if you return null it isnt listed at all (I think null is equivalent to returning Infinite, but dont use that myself).

future idea and consideration. include a small chance the player would get caught when selling slaves and or running illegal goods when the license is hidden and maybe even send a message to the log who did the narking with a fee to give the location where to find them so you can thank them properly. considering there are always those who would nark on you. this would have falling in with the pirate theme moggy2 was looking for.

Hi,

Checked out voxol's information, and it is spot on - so I have updated the package so that the command will only show on playership.

Thanks voxol for that information, I learned something new - always a good sign, as it means I am still alive (Old saying - "You only stop learning when you are dead").

While testing I also noted the values of all the flags, they are here for general information:-

Code: Select all

CmdConCheck flags:-

   1 Available
   2 Disabled
  16 OneTime
  32 Infinite
  64 NeedHomeStation
 128 NeedHomeBase
 256 NoAudioConfirmation

Return null for no display
@draffutt - I have saved your suggestions, and will have a look at the feasibility of implementing, but don't hold your breath as I am currently busy writing a load of scripts - it may be some time....

Enjoy,
