I don't know where you got that from. I've been occupied rewritting that script and had just about forgotten that old version. If you can wait a few days, I'll have a newer shooter version ready that is not a mod and shouldn't cause any compatability problems. I've run into a couple snags and it's taken me a bit of time to work them out. But only a couple details left to attend to now.

btw, i searched everywhere the .spk version but didnt find it anywhere! surely the spk can fix this prob if i can get it, cause i was forced to merge the mod files with my other mod, i it can be why its bugging the targeting reticule!
I suggest prospective users of this fine script should wait for Brand-X's new script. This script is not compatible with X3 V2, please read warjager's comments above before you install this script. I had exactly the same problems.
