For those interested in learning how to program, download this compiler and tutorial - it's freeware

http://www.cs.virginia.edu/~lcc-win32/

It might not make a lot of sense at first, the tutorial is written by a non-native english speaker.

The idea is for you to familiarise yourself with C at this point, NOT to write stunning quests. Any probs, then add to this thread and I'll pick them up when I can - remember to include source code as appropriate

Hmm, want to programme, don't want to sign NDA. Guess I just have to continue wading through the documents available to me hoping they're not out of date...

Wouldn't that jeapordize your position as Orifice of all Knowledge? :P

I wouldn't mind doing it but I too fall into the No skill at programming group.

I'm also wearing too many hats to start in on anything else right now.

Any particular reason you don't want to sign the NDA? You don't have to look at the X2 specific stuff you know...

The thing I hate most about my current job is not being able to discuss certain things outside a small group of people. Not only would signing the NDA give me more things to remember not to mention but I'd have to start being careful about what I did and didn't say on the forum. I'm the type of person that treads very close to that type of line.

I seem to recall someone saying that Melissa never signed the NDA yet still managed to write the Perseus mission. It can be done, it just ain't easy.
