Normally I select an existing satellite as the location since I find that easier. Normally you would select a piece of empty space.

If there's already a satellite in the sector then the ship will just move onto the next sector. It's simple enough to use, and the script can cope with any input you give it, so just give it a go.
I figured it out, but I have to click on an existing object in the sector (ie station or asteroid) as it won't accept commands from cursor from me. Even regular command like move to position do the same thing....curiouser.

I can't figure this script out...

I have an elephant with a docked discoverer, I want the discoverer to go to a station and collect energy for my Elephant

I've done Thereshallbe wings (i can get into and edit scripts though I havn't learned the language, and I have not changed anything)
I am piloting the elephant
I've pressed Enter -> Ship -> Ships -> Discoverer -> Command Console - > Special but all I see here is Collete wares in sector, college ware, move pilot to new ship, attempt notoriety fix (from race response fleet)
I've also tried selecting Additional Ship Commands, but can't select anything here, and the command slot below ">> >> Special..." is "None"

I just don't know what to do....

Not sure, but I have read somewhere that due to a bug, the Discoverer is rated as M4 instead as M5 in the 1.3 patch, and the script only works in TS/SP/M5 ships (of course with the extension installed). Its a pity, as the only "M5" that could be used to deploy sats is the discoverer (has M container size), and the TS&TP are dead meat in this duty (too slow)

This has been corrected, it seems. The Disco didn't work for me before, but after installing the new version it works good. I think you can use any M4s now (like you say the game incorrectly sees the Disco as an M4).

Another fix I've noticed is that Advanced sats can also be deployed now. In the previous version only normal sats worked.

What I thought would be a great improvement to this script would be for the supply ship to auto-dock when it was done supplying whatever. You would assign it to your ship as it's "home" and when it was done, it would dock if you were in the same sector, or up to 1 sector away.
I dont have a carrier yet, and M5's dont dock with M6 anymore, but it was one of my "annoyances" in X2

if it's resupplying it's homebase then it should dock there after it finishes(if possible).

If it doesn't then that's a bug I need to chase. I think I tweeked the code for this a couple of days ago.

moggy, is there any way to unistall the script completly having some ships with the software installed? (if you remove manually the files, the ships and ED still show "SS_WARE_whatever..."). I have some freezings since a couple of days and I would like to discard scripting problems.

I haven't got anything that will clean up the universe. I think someone else wrote something that might be adaptable.

As long as you've stopped all of your ships using the commands and removed all the scripts then there's nothing from the script left to cause a crash. I know the blank wares look untidy but they are harmless.

Nice script, saves a lot of time.

Any way you could edit this to maintain stock levels....

Rather then tell a ship to go buy 'X' supplies I'd like to tell it to try and maintain 'X' E-cells or 'X' amo onboard it's homebase.

What I'd like to do is create a group consisting of UT and M3 protector. Assign a quick M5 or M4 to maintain the e-cells on both at 150...

Make sense ?

Can I take and rewrite this to fit one of my upcoming mods? The mod is a 'scenario' and so the resulting code will be different, and specific to the mod.

Can This Skript be also enhanced, so that the Support ship will allways deliver Tools and ammunition to the designated group or ship, if their storrage is dropping bellow a certain point.

Therefor the support ship position it self to a save area, and jump in the sector containing the ships when neccesary. After the job is done it will return
to its position and load its cargo up.

That is the thing i need too. Auto resuply ships when they are bellow the designed number of items (ecells, anmo, shields...).

The Raijin have 2 raider versions. One of them goes up to 477. These ships are very captureable during the parts of the plot where you encounter them. These can hold 2 25mj shields, so they are making decent sat deployers for me.

I can't get it to work? :cry:

I'm trying to set up a TS to supply my ships with energy cells. I have all the trade sorfware available including Xai, best buy, best sell (also: standard for all my ships to have all trade/command software). I have tried so far a demeter, caiman, and mercury. Neither command "suppy ship" or "supply group" work.

im going to try retrieve and deploy commands and see if they work.

i have other scripts and mods working so i don't know what to think?

this will be FAB when i get it working

any help is greatfully appreciated. :)

please be a bit more specific. what does it do, and what doesn't it do?

Do you have a transporter device on those ships?

I have transported device for all ships. Also install on the specific ship are, best buy/sell, all tradeware and command and special, jumpdrive, UT software. Everything.

What happens is the ship is given a command "resupply ship" (all options filled in to get EC for my ship which has non) then it looks like it will go to do the command, then after 10 seconds it wanders around at half speed.

There is plenty of EC for it to do any jumping.
