Well, lets 1.4 solve major problems that all I wish:)

But:
- More and diverse side-missions.
- Damaged ships need to look damaged. They are shine like new at 1% hull:)
- Better AI for pirates in higher pilot combat level
- Let pirates can fly more types of ships.
- MORE specific objects to explore.
- Give us option to reasrch new weapons! Research center or something like this. Lets take time and LOTS of money, but let we have some spec. weapon, ship upgrade or ship.
- Of course, let us use hotkeys in manus, it is frustrating to scroll
- Sell bult factories on a auction?
- Incorporate some of nice mod scripts in offical version
- far less asteroids:)

That's subject to opinion. An in-game choice between Invisible/Visible cockpits would be preferable, as not everyone prefers having cockpits.

I agree.. I HATE the ingame cockpits.. I want the clean screen myself.

How about lettting them FIX the game before they add anything else. I can live with small issues for a while but I am one of those that has constant lockups and would like to see that fixed before anything else is done.

some good ideas already mentioned.

my ideal 1.4 for me is:
further improve FPS, esp in battle
fix mobile mining for good, not the half hearted attempt 1.3 was
make individual products for sale yes/no in complexes
fix all the UT script bugs, and increase fuel search range beyond 1 measely sector
add some sort of .ini file or registry variable so we can adjust the amount of "all our stuff gets attacked all the time"
allow the keyboard hot keys to work all the time, not just sporadically depending on circumstances
clean up all the debris and useless mini asteroids added in 1.3 "sector enhancements"
work on the ship pathing AI, tired of my ships running into stuff
make the NPC AI actually FIGHT instead of watching while everything in a sector gets wiped, take LV's JTP script whatever its called, clean it up and bug test it, and make it PART of the game.
Those who give up freedom for security deserve neither.

YES! and give that man a cigar. At last somebody who knows what they are talking about. You got the whole bundle of most needed fixes in one easy pass of the keyboard.

make mobile mining usable by:-

- solve the problem of respawing roids... i have zapped many asteroids only to jump in the front cockpit, turn around and find they are back again.

- make it possible to let other player ships to collect asteroids... although judging by the standard autopilot this could be a difficult call considering the sheer number of asteroids produced.

The ability to turn off the small asteroids put in by patch 1.3

With the graphics settings turn down, in some sectors with quite a few of the new asteroids, it makes the game crawl to 5fps or less. Worst was a 1fps slideshow. Combat in those sectors is not an option. Previously in those sectors I was getting 20-30 fps.

I have fairly average spec computer: p4 3ghz, 1gig mem, geforce 6800gt.

I'm not sure why egosoft would put MORE asteroids in the game if they were getting complaints from people about performance issues. :gruebel:

Make the number, size and aggression of hostile attackers proportional to your combat rank - That way starting a new game isn't as hazardous and the game will become more challenging the longer you play.

Make core sectors less prone to attacks than boarder/hostile sectors - Would give traders somewhere safe to trade/play how they want.

Make your own stations more prone to attack as your trade rank increases - What?! I think that would be fun! :P

Take out those mini asteroids or give them some sort of purpose.

Stop enemies from randomly spawning in the middle of sectors, they should spawn at a station and have to fly to their destination - I love the Xenon raiding parties, but not when they randomly appear on top of me!

Got to tackle the slowwww loading either from saved game or when using jumpgates.

An option to switch of the dust clouds (ISTR X2 had this?).

Kill whatever is causing the code/line call to show through after docking, before the text appears - that really does kill the illusion you're in space rather than playing a game.

For gameplay, meaningful and purposeful BBS missions - not just pointless news items. Egosoft - dust off Privateer and Frontier to recall how they did it.

- fix bug when docking with some stations using autopilot comes back with "docking granted", however, ship would not dock. When I docked manually using comms, the station would reply "docking denied".

- I'm not sure weather you can already do this or not, but, how about the ability to hire large and small military vessels from races you have a high ranking with, for a determined lenght of time. This would be to org mass attacks on en.

Obviously I'd like the last of the bugs sorted out, but:

Mobile mining - scanning the mini-roids should tell you if its debris or ore/silicon, that way I'm not crashing every five minutes collecting stuff that I'm automatically discarding.

Add collectable asteroids automatically to the sector map, or the HUD. Collecting the stuff needs to be easier.

You can add another vote for making "collect all wares" pick up asteroid debris. Alternatively give collection a separate control. That would avoid the problem of a ship hareing off to pick up a stray hornet and getting fragged by an M3 on the other side of the sector. I was always paranoid about that in X2.

More XI missions! :twisted: , that's pretty much it oh and let xenon come to core spaces sometimes. The action is starting to wear off slightly, oh and i think all factions have gone a bit overboard with the station building at some areas.

Fix whatever bugs remain for others, but as my game is fine i just want LOTS and LOTS of new BBS missions (larger ones too) and sub-plots to fill the empty spaces between fighting and trading to build my empire (yet again).
Could the parents of the little Argon girl, Suzie, please claim her sealed jar of remains?
She didn't mind the gap and ended up vapourized!

I would like to see:

- Fix for the freezing that started in 1.3 (not permanent, but long, seems like it has to load/calculate things in-flight, like explosions and stuff)
- Widescreen support with correct FOV
