Just a check,

If you started a NEW XTM game on a clean X3R install, all of the original free X3R ships should still be there.

The X3R free freighters are still there in "all" starts as far as I know, so unless you already used all of those they are free to go get, just might be more enemies in those X3R sectors now because of XTM.

ye it was a reinstall of x3 reunion and then the xtm, i do have the vanilla free ships, but the freighters all suck well the iguana van is ok for space fuel runs. I think scorps custom map threw me with the dolphin listed as a free ship and not mentioning it was in fact a pirate 'mammary gland' trap. anyway thx for helps, i wont be wasting any more time on the dolphin.

I wanted to post this question on the XTM site, but it's taking forever to activate my account

Anyway, I'm running X3:R with the Bonus materials and XTM .75 installed.

For the life of me, I *cannot* find a tractor beam, I get the idea that I should be able to find them in the split / paranid sectors, but I do not seem to be able to find them anywhere at all. Any help?

The quick way, and useful for as long as you play, is SCORPs Map. It will show you where they might be in your game.

XTM GOD is known to be more 'active' in removing things from the X-verse and every game start will be different.

Far as i know one of the patches removed the tractor beam factories,
and you can only get it at Argon Equipment dock after activating bala gi Mission, well once you get to a certain point in the bala gi mission's it will activate...

Question: i am having trouble finding the Mission index for XTM mod to get the valhalla?

i came across a post about it but didnt see anything about it ingame
and not supprizing most of the links to the xuniverse website are broken..

feel like saying something crazy but i'll stick with Thank you lol

Edit: after reading, i did run into the mission before but the bbs message told me the guy needed 800 credits not energy cells, so i blew the ship up and didnt bother lol, but i guess i'll do it over again no harm done but thanks again.

I got the map application, gotta say it's really nice. It pointed me to the same place that you indicated in your spoiler. Apparently it's the only place that has it.

Thanks alot! It was pretty hard to find that station though. But now all my mines are moved and things are as they should be, thanks again.

My Ut fleet is taking a hammering since i installed XTM.
lost 3 in 10 mins when a mine in loomanstracts legacy was full but the place is filled with pirates.
fetteled it with my fleet and lost a bit of rep when i destroyed the mine hehe

is there a good script to keep them safer/stop them going into death traps?

would http://www.xai-corp.net/project/XaiCorp-NOS work with XTM?

Best bet, just use Economy and Supply Trader's, they are smarter and allow for "NO hostile sectors"

But are we saying theres nothing i can do for my existing fleet.
The poor sods are doomed? Maybe ill let them have an hour or 2 off to say goodbye to thier familys before i send them into oblivion

Oh, the horror, those brave souls......

Nope, just park them until you get the EST script working, then convert them to EST instead of plain UT.

They'll start following the EST orders to avoid all enemy sectors and jump away from attacks.

Depending on their existing rank you may have to let them retrain as EST to get all the benefits but even trainee EST can make more money than trainee UT.

does any1 own a Darius?

according to TXU its a crystal making ship. I capped 1 to go with my aquired paranid equivalent the Amaranth, the food making 1(cant help myself when they float defenceless ships right infront of me :twisted: )
the idea being to get the energy making 1 aswell to make a mobile self sustaining ware creator.

its full of crystal but i cant seem to offload them, when i dock a ship theres no option in the transfer freight for crystal? i even triple checked the docked ship can hold the right cargo and tried several different ships :(

is it bugged or do i have a few saboteurs still left inside maybe lol?

atm i have close to 100million just floating round my HQ looking pretty :evil:

ok the daruis is still broken but thats a small thing.

please can some1 help me with the following problem for the sake of my sanity.

ive just spent the better part of 2 hrs trying to set up a fleet of 16 wing men. all LX's, some capped and some made from my HQ

i have a pirate galleon in which they are stored but trying to equip them from the ship template thing and it keeps filling them up with e-cells and telling me i have no more room to equip them.

the template ship ($ prefix ) has 8 a hepts main guns, 2 b hepts in the turrets and 5 missiles.

the group of wing men has been made into a grp with the grp command.

ive even ejected all the jumpdrives on the 1s that had them installed and ejected all ecells from the ship to stop the galleon from using them

also now i cant even manually equip the ships as there is no option for the wepons/shields in freight transfer even tho i have the shields/wepons onboard

atm i have 10/16 ships fully equipped but i keep getting the message not enough room to work with

i cant even tranfer spare equiupment to the scarab i have parked in the hold as again there is no option in f transfer to move equipment, its like theres none onboard but when i go into the carriers cargo bay its nearly full of lots of equipment :( :(

please can any1 tell me where im going wrong

ok, new game fresh start in XTM. all of a sudden I suck. Do you need to take it slower at the beginning of xtm or do I suck that bad?

lothos,

All of your previous skills still work, as well as what you did to make money. The only difference is you'll have to stay in really safe sectors at first because even in the safest sectors there are many more deadly enemies.

You won't be able to just jump into a new sector, especially a new XTM sector in a minimally equipped or meager ship.

I've just been trying to map the main argon area, boron, and a bit of teladi and the pirates are out in full force in teladi space with that purple death ray. I'm still in the poor newbie buster too. I did get my toucan though and have that and the mercury running silicon and ecells. I'll have to install the economy trader script though and use that as well.

lothos,

Did you already have an established empire before XTM? You are still entitled to it unless you just want to start over.

You can import all your stuff to a new start or you can LVCheat at least your physical assets. But you'll still have to re-earn your fight and trade ranks.
