XTC needs 2 new terran weapons, one thats cheaper and more suited for M4/M5s, and one thats between MAML and PSPs, i don't even really care if they just patch it so terran ships can use a commonwealth equivalent, as its not uncommon for militaries to adapt system to use common equipment instead of building their own for every purpose.

Without these weapons Terran M4/M5 are way too expensive to field due to each of their weapons having a cost of 300k, while lacking the shielding to stay alive long enough to be cost effective, and their M7s while heavily shield can't overcome the fact they can't equip weapons for their ship class, maybe if they just overloaded their front weapons bank with 12+ MAML?

This is a balance issue i've always thought was crazy, how they could have an entire race that can only use its own weapons but lack the appropriate weapons for their ships.

Another couple things I just thought of.

- Return the music in Home of Light to what it was in Reunion. The track is still in the soundtrack folder but the sector doesn't use it for some reason.

- Add Pandora Crates to Terran Conflict. They're in AP, they're in Reunion but they're not in TC.

Isn't it about time for Bernd to pick the top 10 he thinks are 'doable' and put up a poll for us to vote?

Then maybe do the top 3?

I wouldn't get your hopes up. The tone of his post are very iffy at best and there are a lot more suggestions since he last posted here over a month ago.

It is their tell, they disappear suddenly and all player feedback gets ignored. So IF we do get anything it will most likely only be some fancy charts ingame (as stated in the OP).

It sounds super negative but I don't set myself up for disappointment. So if anything does come out, it is only positive. If it doesn't, it was expected.

Does any of us have any interest in those station graphs Bernd talked about? Because if we don't have that, then he can stop contemplating about implementing them.

Personally I don't see the point in them.

oh, good lord... your an optimist. every time i turn on my PC i expect it to go off like a HEAT round. when it doesn't i'm disappointed because i alwase wanted to see one in person.

yes really. well, i did write HARDLY ever ... :)

the worst ships for *bump* > *kaboom* for me were the discoverers. I found that by not upgrading to max speed ie; just maxing at around 90% they survived a lot better, but this could just be luck. I'm using a fleet of 40 Argon Eclipses atm in Xenon sectors, and they are fine flying X formation around my Yaki M1, and during any given battle with Xenon capitals and against packs of smaller Xenon ships, they survive quite well. I tend to lose ships from big gun fire rather than AI errors / bumps.

I often wonder how much processor speed / graphics card performance affects the AI piloting performance in NPC ships. My PC system is pretty good for playing X3 games.
You are certainly kidding or are the most lucky guy ever.

It just takes one to get a M6, assign 4-5 terran m5, tell them to fly with you, and see them blow up against yourself or against each other just by travelling around in less than 30 minutes.

regarding graphs - maybe, in a game where large amounts of credits weren't really easy to make and the economy was a little more sophisticated, I'd find them useful but I don't see how they help set up or run a trading empire especially late game when you can just throw credits/missiles at a problem - unless I'm missing something

As for what may or may not make it into a patch for X3TC/AP, my take on it is that we're going for the low hanging fruit here

* And IMHO it's balance that's key, I may not agree with everything in the game but I do respect the work ES have done to balance the game in a way the keeps some variety rather than every ship/race/whatever have effectively the same capability, I've spent hours agonising over which ship to buy for the simplest of reasons often for the slightest difference and that's one of the things that makes the games so engaging, for me.

^ how you experience your game. For me this is not the case, as stated.

back OT, my priority improvements wish lists are present in this thread, and AI flight is not among them. (of course it would be nice if it was improved, not saying otherwise).

I'm not sure if it's too late to make a suggestion but would it be possible to make it so you can resize the UI for Terran Conflict like you could do in Albion Prelude? Making it easier to use for current resolutions (1920x1080 for example).

Here's an easy one, a minor irritation. It's just repeated many, many times. When I'm training marines, I'd like to know exactly what the current numbers are. We have to go through some hoops to check now.

Why is the marine notification different? Why can't we click on it to get back to them, both to review the numbers and take action?

If we got it and didn't want it, we could just click once and it's gone; not a big deal at all.

You could even make it a menu choice, if pilots want it both ways.

Also this:

1) More driving game default camera (F1).
2) More dynamics in boarding ships.
3) More dynamics in interacting ones stations.
4) Unload the GUI information (icons , frames).
5) Diversify the sources of illumination.

This, for both TGC and AP, with the ability to user-configure everything about the UI - window size, text size, at least the basics. This should have been in the game from the beginning.

A way to tell our stations not to send ships trough hazard zones (Xenon or Prate). Something like opening a galaxy map on station menu and click what sectors are hazard and that stations ships wont go trough those sectors to trade anymore :D

Its been mentioned, but I'll mention it again :) Higher player account and station account credit limits. Its currently insanely low. I am having to build stations just to use them as deposit accounts.

If you're talking about the 2 billion credit limit then there are technical reasons for that. We did work around these in X3AP for the player account, but it wouldn't be easy to apply that change to X3TC retrospectively, nor practical to extend it to station accounts, unfortunately.

For this very comment I went through the pain to dig my forum account back up!

FIX TERRAN ECONOMY.
As with a great many things that the pleasure of mods give us, this is something essential that should be in the game. It just can't be that the Terran economy slowly grinds to a halt because of their massive sectors and lack of certain factories.

So please, fix that. In my game right now. I'd love to outfit my trade escorts with Terran ships, but their economy is already dead and I can't get any weapons.

I agree.... Also they should speed up PSP because with current aiming AI they cant hit anything and Terran capitals are pretty much useless.... Im using XRM mod and it is working petty good. Damage ratio is smaller but speed and rate of fire is increased :D
