so i have used this script with XTC took an uncharted sector, now i have owned the sector for about 10 days in game time but still no stations have spawned

You have enabled the "populate sectors" under "general options"?
Works fine for me ;)


P.S. if the player is in the sector no stations become spawned (due to some lagging when placing stations)

This maybe the problem i am in and out of the sector alot will try leaving for about an hr and see if that helps

ok so its been a few more ingame days now where i have not been in that system at all and still no stations have spawned. i checked the setting and there all green, everything else seems to be working i left creds in the dock they have been paying out intrest

Ok, this is unusual :(

As it works flawlessly at me,

a) you could try disabling (if you're already on 1.56) and reenabling again (in the AL) - that should restart all included scripts
b) if you have no other mods/scripts installed aside from STO and XTC, you could send me your savegame, then I will check it myself

Other than that I have no idea, why it shouldn't work - the feature has to be enabled in the general options, also you have to set races/factorytypes for the sector - that's all. (and that works at me)

P.S.: One thing I forgot... perhaps you have already a couple of stations yourself in that sector? If there are more stations in total than specified in the STO-menu (each complex-station counts), the script will not build NPC-stations. The maximum amount is 17 stations - I didn't want to cause extreme lagging due to too many NPC-stations ;)

as everyting else ecept the stations seem to be working i take it the script editer does not need to be active

No - as soon the game is modified, all scripts in the scripts-folder work... XTC is modified by default. Just be sure you're on 1.56 - in 1.55 there was a bug with the uninstall.

ok so i unistalled it and made sorp every script was gone i then saved and left it 1 hr in game time and reinstalled,
everything seems to be working now must have been data error in the instal or download or something, really a redowload and install should have been the first thing i did looking back hehe , anyway thanks for trying to help

Hello,

i know this script from X3Reunion, and i like so verry much. i always wanted to takeover the entire univers ^^.

Sadly enough i am just not getting it to work... i had a fresch X3TC install vew days ago, updated it to v3.0 from egosoft updates. then i installed the XTC mod, wich i also know from the X3R-game and wich i like even better.
Then i installed the zipped file's from STO1.56 and started a new game. How ever i cannot find any mention of STO in my AL-plugins nor in the inteface-part of control configuration (to make a hotkey)...

then i tryed re-innitiation-option in the script editor, but it would only show me the ''XTC 1.0r'' subtiltle you get when you load a game, didnt do any tricks with STO.

then i redownloaded the scripts and pasted them (simply overwriting the previous download) but nothing changed...(no wonder... same files right...?)

then i deinstalled XTC 1.0 to install XTC 1.1, again reinstalled the STO1.56 with it... then i loaded the old savegame to continue playing, but still no mention of STO menu or options... (i do how ever some scripts listed in the editor who belong to STO but i dont know what arguments to use when i try running STO from there)

what should i do?

Maybe i should mention i have NOT yet taken over any sectors yet, but then i have not read anything about a trigger like that needed to activate STO, beside STO is not hailing me to pay the 3000/station TAX for stations i have in NPC-sectors.

You do have "setup.sto.main(.xml)" in your scripts-folder?

You should get notified the first time, STO loads.

no, setup.sto.main.xml (53kB)... if it isn't there - do a proper install ;)

Oh wow,

indeed, and the t.files were not there eiter... i drag-drop all single files now into the folders, instead of drag-drop the folders into X3 location.

weird...

ill try running STO now. must be working... Thx for the (verry) quick help

I'm new to scripts and this is the only one that I've found interesting yet. I'm guessing this will make my game "modified". What I'm not sure is if it will interfere with the plot missions. Does it? I'm halfway through the stupid HUB mission and I don't want to lose all my progress.

Also, does the Plugin Manager Lite work with this? I don't really want to overwrite/add any files in the vanilla folders without a clear way to mark them.

Not sure, if it does interfere with the HUB- or other plots.

For the plugin manager: no, that's not compatible.

I was just wondering if anyone noticed that their sector after awhile gets filled with LTs after claiming it or had a similar problem?

Running STO 1.57 with X3TC 3.0

That is the name of the spawned ships or the type?

E.g. spawned ships are mammothes and their name is for instance "Teladi lasertower"? Or are they lasertower and their name is also "Lasertower?

Is STO the only installed script on your side?

[EDIT:] Do you have the STO-option "raids" enabled?

[EDIT2:] is the ownerrace of the laser-towers similar to the previous owner of the sector (technically that should be impossible)?
Could be that the lasertowers respawn for a pirate-station, that was in the sector you overtook - but that's standard ES-respawn and just not prevented by STO... but that shouldn't be more than 5 or so.

I don't have raids on either, and far as I know none of the scripts I have running should interfere with this unless LVs bailing add-on would...
